According to Tuttomercatoweb, Goal.com and more, the two clubs reached an agreement today and he will sign a five-year contract after he returns from international duty. Demiral is just 21 years old and only joined Sassuolo from Alanyaspor in January. It was a loan with option to buy for €7m, so the Neroverdi are doubling their money in just six months. He scored two goals in 14 Serie A appearances, representing Fenerbahce, Alcanenense and Sporting CP in his career. Juventus raised the €15m by selling Riccardo Orsolini to Bologna, again after his loan spell with option to buy. Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

According to La Stampa, Paratici was in the stands for Turkey’s 2-0 victory over France in a Euro 2020 qualifier last night, to watch both Demiral and Pogba. The Bianconeri have practically agreed terms with Sassuolo for the 21-year-old Turkish defender at €15m plus bonuses, despite Atletico Madrid recently reportedly making the Neroverdi a €25m offer. The intention had been to leave him at Sassuolo for another year to mature, but the fantastic performance against World Cup winners France may well have changed their minds. Meanwhile, La Stampa also reports that Paratici was in Konya last night to watch over France international Pogba, who remains a possible transfer target this summer. It’s suggested the pair might’ve had the opportunity to exchange a few words after the game. If Pogba does leave Manchester United this summer, then he has offers on the table from Real Madrid and PSG too. Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Turkish-Football.com cites an unnamed source close to Demiral, who claims United have made enquiries for the stopper. Juve have already made it clear that they will only consider selling the 21-year-old for a considerable profit, already turning down a loan proposal from Milan. However, United appear to view him as a younger and cheaper alternative to Leicester City's Harry Maguire. Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the Turk, but they have recently splashed out on Mario Hermoso and Felipe to replace Diego Godin and Lucas Hernandez. Demiral joined Juve for €18m earlier in the month after a successful loan spell at Sassuolo but faces competition from Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and now Matthijs de Ligt in the Old Lady's central defence. Demiral was finally unveiled as a Juve player on Tuesday, and the former Sassuolo defender is ready to show he belongs to the highest level. “Juventus have some of the best players in the world, including in defence,” explained the 21-year-old. “I hope to hit my best form and fight for a starting place. Chiellini, Bonucci and all the senior personnel in the dressing room are really helping me integrate. “I want to learn a lot from their experience. I’m especially grateful to Emre Can, who has become a reference point for me, both on and off the field. “Bring here is an honour for me, I’ll try to be a role model for my compatriots. My experience in Reggio Emilia helped me pay my dues in Serie A. “This is the best country to learn to defend. Maurizio Sarri is directly involved in defensive training and that’s an advantage for us. “Coming here is a dream come true. I want to show that, in the end, hard work pays and takes you far. “Every season, Juventus’ objective is to win everything. I’m sure great things will happen this season and I hope to stay here for as long as possible.” The Turkey international has already been likened to Old Lady favourite Montero... “The comparison with Montero is an honour for me. I want to show that I’m a good player who gives his best like he did.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

According to Tuttosport newspaper, the Bianconeri are no longer set on keeping the 21-year-old centre-back if a strong offer arrives mid-season. He was snapped up from Sassuolo over the summer for €18m, double the figure the Neroverdi paid to get him from Alanyaspor only six months earlier. Demiral made only one appearance in a Juventus jersey, for 90 minutes against Hellas Verona in Serie A on September 21, but has fallen behind Daniele Rugani in the pecking order. The Turin-based paper claims that Arsenal and Manchester United sent scouts to view Demiral in action during Turkey’s Euro 2020 qualifier this week. The Gunners are particularly eager and could bid up to €40m for the battling central defender. Milan have long been interested, but would most likely take Demiral on loan. Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio states that both clubs have proposed offers to the Italian giant for the Turkish defender. Leicester, who were also reported to be interested in Daniele Rugani, have supposedly made a €30m offer to Juve for Demiral. Furthermore, Bundesliga side Dortmund have presented a €40m deal for the 21-year-old. Juventus are hesitant to sell the defender, hoping to offload Rugani or Emre Can in an attempt to reduce their hefty wage bill. Demiral scarcely played in the first three months of the season, but started the final four games of 2019. His performances have seen him rise up the pecking order in the centre of the Juve rear-guard. Juve only signed Demiral from Sassuolo last summer for €18m. Demiral, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United in recent weeks, is struggling to settle under Juve boss Maurizio Sarri having only made five appearances in all competitions this term. The Turkish international’s distinct lack of game time has led him to be linked with a move away from Turin and it would seem he has Premier League suitors. The defender had scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. He was then stretchered off within 20 minutes of the Serie A match, having jumped for a header and landed heavily. “Demiral has a sprain and we won’t know any more until tomorrow morning,” said Sarri in his press conference. “However, the sensation we have is that it might be a serious injury.” With Giorgio Chiellini already out until at least next month with a torn ACL he suffered over the summer, it means Daniele Rugani is definitively taken off the transfer market. Roma star Nicolò Zaniolo was stretchered off during the same game and has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, along with meniscus damage. “We want to wish Zaniolo all the best,” added Sarri. The Turkey international had scored the opening goal in last night’s 2-1 Serie A victory over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. He then landed heavily after jumping for a header and limped off the field. Taken in for tests at the J-Medical Centre this morning, doctors confirmed Demiral has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, with additional meniscus damage. This will require surgery and usually rules players out for at least six months, which effectively ends not only Demiral’s season, but also his chances of playing at Euro 2020 for Turkey, in the same group as Italy. Those two teams are due to meet at the Stadio Olimpico in June. It’s an identical injury to the one sustained by Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo during the same match and he too is out for six months, pending today’s operation. Demiral had recently pushed Matthijs de Ligt out of the starting line-up at Juventus, with reports of offers up to €50m rejected from Arsenal, Manchester City and Leicester City. The Old Lady reports on their official website that the Turkey international’s intervention at the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck was perfectly successful. The statement claims that Demiral “underwent reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament and suture of the lateral meniscus of the left knee”. Demiral had scored the opening goal during the 2-1 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, but followed Roma star Nicolò Zaniolo off the pitch on a stretcher with a torn ACL. The Turkish defender had recently pushed summer signing Matthijs de Ligt out of the starting line-up at the Allianz Stadium and was rumoured to be a transfer target for a host of clubs across Europe this winter.
