The midfielder is out of contract on June 30, so is free to negotiate with non-English clubs from this month. The Bianconeri confirmed this week that they’re monitoring the situation, and all three of the main Italian sports newspapers are confident a deal is close. Gazzetta dello Sport believes there is a contract on the table worth €6.5m per season, with another €500,000 if he plays over 50 per cent of games in a season. There’s a further €500,000 for playing over 70 per cent. In recent years Ramsey has always played over 30 games, but never managed more than 40. The Welsh international can join for free in July, but the Corriere dello Sport believes Juve want to bring him earlier. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, so it makes sense to get a deal done as soon as possible. Ramsey would be willing to move to Turin in January, and the Serie A leaders would offer around €5m to Arsenal to get the deal done right away. The Welsh international has been heavily linked with the Bianconeri in recent weeks, and from this month he’s free to sign for another club, with his contract expiring on June 30. Now SportMediaset is reporting that a deal is done, with Ramsey signing on until 2024 for a salary of €6.5m per season. As reported this morning, there will also be significant bonuses linked to appearances for the 28-year-old. An official announcement could arrive later this month, and it’s still possible that Juve will look to do a deal to bring Ramsey to Turin in this transfer window. It’s previously been reported that the Bianconeri may offer around €5m to convince the Gunners to let the midfielder move in January, rather than losing him on a free transfer in the summer. While SportMediaset claimed earlier this afternoon that a pre-contract agreement had been signed for five years, Sky Sport Italia maintain the situation is a little more fluid. Ramsey has still chosen Juventus, but Arsenal have no intention of letting him go six months early, even for €5m. It means the Welsh midfielder will come to Turin as a free agent in June, although he’ll receive a salary worth €6.5m per season with significant bonuses for his appearances. It is widely reported that Ramsey has already agreed terms to join Juve at the end of the season as a free agent, once his contract has expired. The Bianconeri were eager to get him in their squad from the January transfer window, but Unai Emery doesn’t want to lose him six months early. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal would only have let Ramsey leave early if Juve included defender Benatia as part of the exchange. However, as previously reported elsewhere, the Bianconeri have no intention of losing the Morocco international mid-season, despite interest from Arsenal, Schalke 04 and Milan. Socrates 8328 Joined: 04-Apr-2006 133051 messaggi Inviato February 12, 2019 Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Denis Suarez deal may be off and £35m Aaron Ramsey replacement With the Gunners gearing up for a busy 2019 they may need reinforcements https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/latest-arsenal-transfer-rumours-denis-15638552 Jan 7, 2019 Arsenal are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup, the round of 32 in the Europa League and are still in contention for a top four place in the Premier League. Head coach Unai Emery has spoken about the areas of the team he wishes to reinforce in the January transfer window to remain competitive across all three flanks. It won't be easy for the Gunners. With a little over half a season already played, injury problems are beginning to bite while the future of Aaron Ramsey seems to lie away from the Emirates. Juventus remain the leaders in the race to sign the Welshman. Meanwhile, Arsenal have been linked with a number of potential successors, most notably Denis Suarez. However, Emery sees the midfielder as a potential option out wide, according to his comments after the 3-0 win over Blackpool in the FA Cup. The Barcelona player spent time under the Spaniard on loan. "He was playing as a left or right winger for Sevilla when he was with me," said the Arsenal head coach. The Mirror report that Barcelona are intent on playing hard ball over the midfielder's departure. It is claimed that a deal worth around £20milion has already been discussed but now the Catalans have had a change of heart. Raul Sanllehi used to negotiate deals for the La Liga club and is now a director at the Emirates. He will surely know whether this is all part of their strategy to get the best price out the Premier League side. Barcelona's hopes of driving up the price may not work if the player is not on board. Local journalist Helena Condis Edo has said that Suarez has no interest in any other options and has already spoken to Emery about joining the Gunners. That would undermine efforts to complicate matters at this point. Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Sky Sports in the UK also agrees with its Italian sister that Ramsey will complete his Bosman transfer to Juve after the Supercoppa on January 16. The 28-year-old was able to negotiate a pre-contractual agreement with the Bianconeri after he failed to agree a new deal to stay at Arsenal. The Welshman is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Old Lady, worth an estimated €40m, before moving to Turin in July. The Wales international’s contract with the Gunners is due to expire in June, meaning he is free to put pen to paper for another club going into next season. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere dello Sport, Juve representatives are in London today and will complete Ramsey’s medical in secret. It is only the first part of the in-depth tests, with the rest done in Turin at a later date. This same procedure was followed when signing Sami Khedira and Emre Can as free agents. He’ll then sign the agreed five-year contract worth €6.5m per year plus another €0.5m in bonuses if he plays 50 per cent of all the games that season, or €1.5m if he takes part in 70 per cent of the fixtures. His agent is set to pocket €9m in commission. Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

A statement on Juve’s official website confirmed Ramsey had signed a four-year contract, effective from July 1. Furthermore, the Bianconeri are liable for a €3.7m signing-on payment in the absence of a transfer fee. The Welshman began his career with Cardiff City before joining Arsenal in 2008, going on to play over 300 times for the Gunners and lift three FA Cups. He was also part of the Wales team who reached the semi-finals at Euro 2016, where they were beaten by eventual winners Portugal. Although BBC Sport reports the 28-year-old will earn a basic wage of £400,000, Italian sources write he will earn £250,000 a week instead. He is the latest in a long line of free agents to join the Old Lady in recent years after the likes of Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo and Emre Can. According to BBC Sport’s David Ornstein, Ramsey underwent a two-part medical in January and put pen to paper on Monday, committing to Juve for the next four seasons. Ornstein adds the midfielder will surpass Wales teammate Gareth Bale as the highest-earning player from the British Isles, pocketing a basic salary of £400,000 a week, equating to €456,000. The 28-year-old will officially become an Old Lady player on July 1, once his Arsenal contract expires. However, Italian football journalist Gabriele Marcotti believes the £400,000 figure is before tax and that Ramsey will take home £250,000 instead. BBC reporting that Aaron Ramsey will earn £400k/week basic salary at Juventus. Been told it's actually around €7.5m net which works out to £250k/week. As ever, can only go with what I'm told, but £250k/week sounds a hell of a lot more plausible. Ramsey will join Juve on a free transfer this summer and Paratici [pictured, left] believes the Welshman could be the missing piece of the Bianconeri’s midfield jigsaw. “We’ve got him, but he’s a different player to the others we have,” the sporting director told Gazzetta dello Sport. “We don’t have another player like him in our squad. He has more technique than our midfielders but less versatile. “He’s also less stubborn and less tactical, even though he runs a lot. He’s a man for the final pass and he has an eye for goal.” The 28-year-old has been used in a variety of ways by Arsenal, including as a winger… “Ramsey’s a player who, in my opinion, still hasn’t found his position because he’s never played as a mezz’ala in a three, which is his role as it lets him make runs in behind,” explained Paratici. Socrates 8328 Joined: 04-Apr-2006 133051 messaggi Inviato March 3, 2019 BBC SPORT Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal: Aaron Ramsey shows what Gunners will be missing when he leaves As Arsenal plan for life without Aaron Ramsey, the midfielder's performance in his final north London derby was a reminder of the hole he will leave when he departs for Juventus in the summer. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/47428275 Mar 2, 2019 The Welshman came out on top of the ratings given by BBC Sport readers, even though his first-half goal ultimately only helped his side to a point in a 1-1 draw at Wembley against Tottenham. Harry Kane's second-half penalty cancelled out Ramsey's 16th-minute strike before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a late penalty saved by Hugo Lloris. It meant the 28-year-old's final appearance in this fixture did not end in the wild celebrations he might have hoped for, but it was still a performance to highlight what he has brought to the club during his 11 years in north London. 'Ramsey performance gives Arsenal pleasure - and pain' Chief football writer Phil McNulty Aaron Ramsey used the Wembley stage that has become his playground to demonstrate what Arsenal will be missing when he leaves for Turin on a free transfer at the end of the season. He will be best remembered at the club for his winning goal in the 2014 FA Cup final against Hull City and his repetition of that feat in the 2017 showpiece against Chelsea. And the 28-year-old Welshman showcased the all-round quality that Arsenal have allowed to get away in the heat of north London derby battle against Tottenham. Ramsey has always had an eye for goal and he was calm and quality personified as he raced clear of Davinson Sanchez to round Hugo Lloris to give Arsenal the lead. This was the crowning moment of his performance but Ramsey was industrious, competitive and showed the class that makes it all the more mysterious that he is the latest player to be allowed to escape the net at Arsenal as his contract has run down and no final agreement could be reached. It might almost be human nature for a player to have one eye on his next, highly lucrative destination once that move has been sealed and made public, as Ramsey's switch to Turin has been, but his attitude and approach was faultless. Ramsey's full focus was on Arsenal and how it showed. He was at the forefront as they fought to maintain the lead he had given them, storming into tackles, disputing decisions and making the intelligent contributions on and off the ball that have characterised his time at Arsenal. And there do not appear to be any hard feelings from fans either as he was given a deserved and rousing ovation when he was replaced by Mesut Ozil with 18 minutes left. Ramsey will be central to Arsenal and manager Unai Emery's hopes of reaching the top four and when lavish contracts were being handed to under-achieving and often absent players such as Ozil, it is hard to see how the Gunners have got themselves into a position where Ramsey is walking away. The interest of Juventus, and of course the financial structure of the deal, make it easy to see why the Italian giants were interested and why he was keen to accept their invitation. Ramsey's influence on Arsenal's performance here will have given them much pleasure - but also pain as they realise how hard he will be to replace. However, the Gunners confirmed on Wednesday that the midfielder would continue to ‘receive treatment and further assessment’. Although there is no mention that he will miss the remainder of the campaign, BBC Sport is certain he will not play again for Arsenal. That is because he picked up a hamstring injury during the Europa League quarter-final win over Napoli on April 18. “It saddens me to say that the game against Napoli was my last game in an Arsenal shirt,” wrote Ramsey on Instagram. “Unfortunately it left me with an injury that rules me out of the remaining games. I am really disappointed not to play until the end and give everything for the club while I am still an Arsenal player. “Unfortunately it’s out of my hands but I wanted to say thank you to the fans for your support. “It has been a journey, on and off the field, and so much has happened in 11 years. I was a spotty young kid coming in and I’m leaving a man, married, father of three boys and full of pride and good memories that I will treasure. “It will be emotional this weekend - my last game at home. I’m excited and proud to be here.” The Welshman made the move as a free agent after his contract with Arsenal expired and he held his presentation Press conference this afternoon in Turin. “I have an injury, but it’s going well, it’s progressing nicely at the moment. I’m doing a lot of work to try and get back as quickly as possible. I’m not quite there yet to go into full training, but I’m not too far away. I want to start training with the guys as soon as possible. “I’ve had a small injury, but we’re taking it day by day, I’m feeling stronger and getting more fitness. We’ll make a decision over the next few days, but nothing has been set in stone yet over whether I travel with the squad for the pre-season tour. The way things are going, I’m confident I’ll be back fairly soon.” Ramsey had other proposals too, especially being a free agent, so why did he choose the Bianconeri? “When I knew that Juventus were interested, I couldn’t say refuse that. It’s a great club, one of the biggest in the world, so to have the opportunity to come here and play for them at the top level is a dream. It’s also a challenge for myself to come over, to experience a different way of life, different culture, for me to take that in, embrace it and I hope it all goes well here. “I know how hard it’s going to be, I’ve prepared myself for that and I’m looking forward to the challenge. “As soon as I knew Juve were in for me, there was no question on where I was going to go. You can’t turn down that opportunity. I’m so excited to be here, to be a part of this great club and hope I can be a part of some new history we can write together. “Yes, there were other clubs, but this is the right club for me and I’m so excited and proud to be here.” Ramsey will wear the Number 8 jersey that was until recently on the shoulders of fan favourite Claudio Marchisio. “I wanted the Number 8 jersey that I wore at Arsenal and when it was free here, I had to take it with both hands. I know Marchisio was an unbelievable player here who grew up here and had a fantastic career. I spoke to him a couple of times and if I can emulate what he’s done for Juventus, I’d be pretty proud of that. “I’m looking forward to wearing that jersey, I know it comes with responsibilities, but I’m ready for that too.” It is a brand new Juventus with Maurizio Sarri replacing Max Allegri, a choice made to give the fans more entertaining football. “The squad, the players have all welcomed me really nicely, I’ve spoken to the Coach a few times and he’s very approachable and easy to talk to. I’m looking forward to helping my new teammates to achieve our targets this season. “There is competition for places, but that’s to be expected at a team like Juventus. I have to back myself and produce in order to get into this team, so I’m just looking forward to the challenge and hopefully can play my part. “A player like me, I want to affect the game, whether I score or assist, both are equally important to help the team. I’ll be hoping to score and create as many goals as I can this season, in order to achieve our targets. “Of course, you want to play football the best you can, but it’s not the only way to win a football game. At the end of the day, it’s about winning, so that’s the most important thing. If you can win by playing good football, that’s a nice feeling. “I know from this Coach and his time in England that he definitely likes to play football, he has his own philosophy and I’m sure all the players here will adapt very nicely to that.” Ramsey’s Arsenal were beaten 4-1 by Sarri’s Chelsea in the Europa League Final. “From what I saw last season, he got to two Finals, won one of them and finished in the top four. That’s not easy to do, so it was definitely a success for him there. Hopefully he can bring his philosophy and style to the team, as winning and playing good football is the ideal situation, but it’s not the only way. “Hopefully this will be something we can do and be really successful doing.” Adrien Rabiot is also a new arrival in the midfield, after his contract expired with Paris Saint-Germain. “I like to be a box-to-box midfielder, who can get up and down the pitch, who can defend and also then get on the end of something at the other end. Those are my characteristics, then when I go into full training, I’ll understand what the Coach wants too. I’m looking forward to it.” Ramsey was asked if he’d like to follow in the footsteps of fellow Welshman John Charles, a Juventus icon. “He’s an absolute legend, who I look up to as a person and a player, and hopefully look to emulate.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Everybody is driven and very focused on what they need to be doing. “Now I have to prove myself to my new teammates, new staff and new fans. But I have been playing for a long time. I know what I am capable of doing. It is just of question of showing it.” The Welshman arrived from Arsenal with an injury, which meant he could not kick a ball for the Old Lady until August. “Of course. I really wanted to finish off with Arsenal and play in the Europa League final. It wasn’t meant to be. “My next concern was how long it was going to be and how much of the preseason I was going to get. It was very frustrating. I wanted to hit the ground running. “But the medical staff here have been brilliant and helped me through. I am feeling good at the moment. I was very proud to get my first goal and played in three matches last week. “There is still a lot more to improve on but hopefully I can continue to improve and get stronger, get physically better and have a successful season.” Ramsey is one of an increasing number of British players to move overseas, so does he plan on learning Italian? “Yes, of course. It is massively important. All the team meetings are in Italian; the majority of the players speak Italian. “But it’s not just for football reasons. When you go to a restaurant or fill up your car, some people don’t speak English. “It’s important to speak their language and really commit to putting yourself into their culture and to understand it. “It might take me a bit of time - I have picked up a few swear words on the training ground - but I am learning and hopefully I will be able to speak it one day.” The 28-year-old is not the only Premier League export to join Juve this summer, with Coach Maurizio Sarri having also arrived from Chelsea. “It has been great so far. There have been new ideas and new information which we are working hard to try to put into practice. “At times it hasn’t worked as well as we would have liked, but in other parts it really has. “We are slowly getting better in terms of what he wants to implement and understanding our roles and responsibilities more. “This club has been so good and so dominant for so long. We know other teams have improved and are trying to knock us off top spot. “But this place is all about winning and that is what we are striving for. Inter have improved this season. “Antonio Conte has got them really organised and they have yet to drop any points. It is going to be difficult. “They have some great players, including one I know very well from my time at Arsenal. “We will have to be aware of him and the other players they have, and be really on top of our game to get the result we want. “The Champions League is really important for us but it is the League where week in, week out you are tested. “Juventus have been dominant in the League for many years. Hopefully, in the long run, things will take care of themselves and we can be successful.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti
