Juventus have resumed interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho as the Red Devils do not lower the asking price for Mason Greenwood.

Juventus and Manchester United are in talks for a potential Greenwood transfer to the Allianz Stadium, but the Red Devils want at least €50m for the English winger, who spent the last season on loan at Getafe.

Therefore, Juventus director Giuntoli has reportedly inquired about Sancho. .............

Juventus are once again interested in a loan deal for Sancho provided that Manchester United pay a part of his hefty €8.5m-a-year salary.

A permanent transfer to Juventus seems unwilling at this stage as, according to giornalaccio rosa, the asking price for Sancho is also in the region of €50m. .............

Why Juventus may not sign Sancho even if Man Utd agrees to a loan deal

3794476-77179448-2560-1440.jpg

Juventus wants to sign Jadon Sancho this summer as he looks set to leave Manchester United again.

Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after falling out with Erik ten Hag. ............

United wants to sell him for a good fee, and Juventus would love to sign him on loan for the upcoming season.

The Red Devils are not open to that yet and will try to permanently transfer him before this transfer window closes. ............

However, Sancho can only move to Juventus if they sell Federico Chiesa.

Both players have the same profile and play in the same position, so Juve does not need Sancho if Chiesa remains in their squad. ............

Thiago Motta, the new Juventus manager, wishes to work with Rabiot, but Juve will not wait forever. Rabiot’s contract with the club expires at the end of this month. ............

Cristiano Giuntoli is also looking at alternative players in case they cannot secure Rabiot on a new deal.

Juventus have held talks with Man United over Jadon Sancho loan deal

Guessing some would prefer this English winger over the other English winger Juve has been linked to.

Borussia Dortmund v SV Darmstadt 98 - Bundesliga

We already know that Juventus are close to having an English flavor to one of their first pieces of business this summer. But could there be a name new entering the transfer window fray that would make things even more English than simply dealing with a club that plays in the Premier League? ............

Juventus and Manchester United have held talks over a potential loan deal for want-away winger Jadon Sancho. Some of that has to do for the fact that United continue to hold out for a big transfer fee for another reported Juve target, Mason Greenwood, with another part simply because Sancho is somebody that Cristiano Giuntoli has chased in the not-so-distant past to try and bring him to Turin. So, while United reportedly value Sancho at the same €50 million price tag they’re attaching to Greenwood, Juve have discussed a loan move for the 2024-25 season to try and add Sancho to the mix. ............

Dortmund are also reportedly keen on trying to sign Sancho once again, although the big transfer fee ask might mean they can only do some sort of loan deal once again. ............

Sancho, who is one of United’s top earners at an incredible €18 million gross a season, reportedly waived upward of €3 million in salary to make his loan move back to Dortmund possible. That would certainly have to be the case if Juventus, a club that has spent the last couple of summers trying to take massive chunks out of their payroll and cut things down, want to bring Sancho in this summer. That would mean that on top of some sort of loan fee agreement, the two sides would have to agree to United covering some portion of his massive salary.

For all we know, the early contacts could just be to establish some sort of base line as Juve await what will happen with Federico Chiesa. ............

Milan may be on the cusp of snapping up Joshua Zirkzee but their slow progress in closing out a deal may give Juventus the chance to snatch the Bologna striker.

The Rossoneri have already clarified their intentions to activate the 23-year-old Dutch striker’s €40m release clause on July 1st and have been in talks with his representative Kia Joorabchian for a little while now, trying to resolve the issue of agent fees and commissions.

Joorabchian wants €15m as part of the Zirkzee deal, a figure Milan aren’t willing to pay, leaving the door open for Thiago Motta’s Juventus. The striker scored 12 goals and provided seven assists across 37 matches under the Italian-Brazilian coach at Bologna this season. ............

Thiago Motta wants to be reunited with Zirkzee again and Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is hard at work, hoping to take advantage of Milan’s inability to finalise a deal. ............

Milan find themselves in an awkward position, especially as new coach Paulo Fonseca has asked for a centre forward with different characteristics, wanting a more clinical and decisive finisher.

Juventus and Tottenham interested in signing exciting Serie C teenager

Giovanni-Leoni.jpg

Giovanni Leoni has emerged as one of the most sought-after teenagers in Italian football following his impressive loan spell at Sampdoria last season.

The 17-year-old is currently owned by Serie C’s Padova but gained attention while playing for Sampdoria under Andrea Pirlo.

Juventus closely monitored his progress in Serie B and considers him a promising talent worth adding to their squad. ............

This widespread interest underscores his status as an exceptional talent, given that Premier League clubs typically target top-quality players.

As the largest club in Italy with one of the country’s premier academies, Juventus could appeal strongly to Leoni, even if immediate first-team opportunities aren’t guaranteed. ............

Juventus remains keen on signing Teun Koopmeiners, and fans had expected them to sign the Dutchman before Douglas Luiz.

Massimo Pavan has now commented on how he believes their summer could look like and says:

Journalist explains difference between Arthur-Pjanic transfer and Douglas Luiz deal

Dream Team’s Nick Elliott previews this summer’s Euros fantasy game

Juventus is closing in on a swap deal to sign Douglas Luiz, with two youngsters plus 20 million euros going the other way. ............

This is not the first time Juve has been involved in a swap deal to sign players, and the last time they did it, it did not end well.

The Bianconeri swapped Arthur Melo for Miralem Pjanic with Barcelona, and both players struggled. Arthur has not even played for the Bianconeri in the last two seasons.

It was a financial transaction that benefitted both clubs’ balance sheets, but Riccardo Meloni insists Juventus’ decision to send Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea plus cash to Villa for Luiz is different. ............

“The Arthur-Pjanic operation continues to be mistakenly associated with the Douglas Luiz operation. The rationale behind the operation with Barcelona was purely economic, while the reasons that brought Juve to Douglas Luiz are purely technical. With Arthur-Pjanic yes an exchange was built around budgetary needs, while with Douglas Luiz an operation was built around a pitch need: Thiago Motta strongly wanted the Brazilian to build the midfield around him.” ............

Douglas Luiz - Welcome to Juventus? 2024 - Skills, Tackles & Passes | HD

The final details have been resolved and Douglas Luiz is heading to Juventus, with Enzo Barrenechea, Samuel Iling-Junior and €22m plus bonuses going to Aston Villa.

The agreement had been reached between the clubs for Weston McKennie to be part of the swap, but the USMNT midfielder dragged everything to a halt with his demands over personal terms.

Rather than risk the entire move falling apart, Juve switched over to a different player, introducing Barrenechea instead following his loan experience with Frosinone. ............

Juventus will also retain a percentage of the future sell-on fee for both Barrenechea and Iling-Junior. ............

Douglas Luiz is currently participating in the Copa America, so his medical could be performed in the United States of America.

Juventus interest in Khephren Thuram does not depend on Rabiot

Coaches' Voice | Khéphren Thuram: Ligue 1 Player Watch

Juventus has been following Khephren Thuram for several months and might make a move to sign him this summer.

The Frenchman has been one of the finest midfielders in Ligue 1 over the last few seasons, and he now wants to leave Nice. ............

It has been widely reported that Juventus considers Thuram one of their long-term replacements for Adrien Rabiot.

However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that signing Thuram will not depend on Rabiot’s future.

He claims the Bianconeri will still work on the deal for the Frenchman whether Rabiot stays or not. ............

Progress on Thuram, first signings imminent, Kean on the move

France v Netherlands: Group A - UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifying Round

With the deal for Douglas Luiz all but settled (more on him later), another name in the midfield has started to be thrown around in earnest over the last week or so, and that’s Kephren Thuram.

The 23-year-old, who currently plys his trade at OGC Nice, has been zeroed in on as the second signing in the continuing remake of the Juventus midfield. The team had hoped to sign Adrien Rabiot to yet another extension in the offseason, but he and his momgent, Veronique, have dithered when it comes to a decision on Juventus’ contract proposal. Fed up with waiting (and in the face of Veronique likely demanding a ridiculously exorbitant salary that the club simply won’t pay, the club has moved on to Thuram.

Son of former Juve defender Lilian and brother of current Inter forward Marcus, Kephren Thuram has turned heads at Nice lately, but he’s made it clear to the French club that he has no intention of extending his contract, which expires at the end of the coming season. That would give Juve a clear negotiating advantage, as Nice won’t be in position to dictate the terms of a deal quite as much as they would have liked.

Thuram was born in Reggio Emilia just a few months before his father signed with Juventus, and was raised in Turin for the first five years of his life, a fact that could also give Juve an edge in vying for his signature. Indeed, according to a report by Daniele Longo at Calciomercato, Juve have agreed in principle to personal terms with the Frenchman, and that Cristiano Giuntoli has taken a closer role in negotiations with the Ligue 1 outfilt to get the deal over the line quickly, lest anyone else come in and disrupt things at the last minute. Nice are looking for €25 million for the striker, but Juve are hoping to use the pressure of a contract year to push that closer to €18-20 million, or perhaps push down the monetary costs with a makeweight like Arkadiusz Milik. ............

Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea are set to complete their medicals with Aston Villa within the next 24 hours, clearing one of the last major hurdles before the complex deal for Luiz is complete. The Brazilian midfielder is currently with the Brazilian national team at the Copa America, but is likely to complete his while at the tournament.

As for Di Gregorio, the major hurdle in front of his announcement has been the exit of incumbent keeper Wojciech Szczesny. Szczesny’s potential move to Saudi Arabia had been on hold for a week or so, but now looks like it’s headed for the finish line soon, which would clear the way for Di Gregorio’s arrival to be made official. ............

Multiple reports, including one from Fabrizio Romano, have identified Kean as the primary target of new Fiorentina manager Raffaele Palladino. ............

Thiago Motta wants Juventus to sign Genoa attacker

Retegui.jpg

Thiago Motta is working hard to identify the players he believes will function well in his system at Juventus and has identified Genoa’s Mateo Retegui as a good attacker.

Retegui has been one of the finest in Serie A, which explains why he was named in the Italy squad for Euro 2024. ............

Motta has asked Juventus to include the striker in his group and the Bianconeri are set to sign him as a replacement for the outgoing Moise Kean.

Dusan Vlahovic will remain the most important striker in the group, but Motta is confident that Retegui can become his deputy. ............

The Bianconeri no longer have much hope that Rabiot will stay, so they are on the lookout for new midfielders to add to their squad. ............

The son of Lilian Thuram has a contract that expires in 2025, and Nice wants to sell him now.

They still want a high fee for his departure, but Juventus does not want to offer more than 18 million euros.

Alessio Tacchinardi insists Juventus cannot miss out on Koopmeiners

Begeerde Koopmeiners aast op transfer: 'Ik heb het bij Atalanta aangegeven' | Voetbal | NU.nl

Juventus remains in contention for Teun Koopmeiners, but they are encountering difficulties in finalising the deal for the Dutch midfielder.

Koopmeiners has been a target for Juventus since last season and has expressed a desire to join the club. ............

Juventus is on the verge of confirming Douglas Luiz’s arrival and views Koopmeiners as an ideal partner for the Brazilian midfielder. Former Juventus player Alessio Tacchinardi has emphasised the importance of securing Koopmeiners’ signing. ............

“In my opinion, Koopmeiners should be taken at all costs, no one in the squad has the characteristics of him. Throughout the season he has demonstrated his worth. I can’t tell you if with the three elements mentioned above the team would be able to win the championship, the quality would certainly increase, but something would still be missing in the middle of the field and on the attacking flanks. There is a need for a player with personality, I hope Koopmeiners is one. Maybe Thiago Motta, like in Bologna, manages to enhance players who are certainly not of great value.” ............

Juventus insists on their valuation for Koopmeiners

Juventus target Koopmeiners ruled out of Euro 2024 through injury - latest

Juventus remains interested in signing Teun Koopmeiners, but there is a good chance they might not secure his transfer. ............

Juve is not the only club interested in the Dutchman, leading Atalanta to value him at 60 million euros.

This is a hefty fee, and Juve believes he is overrated at that price.

The Bianconeri are willing to pay 40 million euros, which they believe is a fair price for his signature.

However, Atalanta is unlikely to engage in talks at that offer, and it is difficult to see both clubs reaching an agreement. ............
