Juventus defeated Fiorentina 1-0 at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday afternoon in Serie A.

The Bianconeri gained revenge for their astonishing defeat in Florence back in October as a first half goal from Kwadwo Asamoah was enough to see off the challenge of the Viola.

Although Vincenzo Montella had the fit again Mario Gomez to call on, the absence of the suspended Borja Valero and long-term injury victim Giuseppe Rossi seemed vital against a determined Juventus side despite themselves missing Andrea Pirlo.

Despite the absence of the suspended Italian international it was the Bianconeri who controlled the opening exchanges, pressing the vistors straight from kick-off and creating the first clear chance when Fernando Llorente played in Arturo Vidal, but after supplying the onrushing Stephan Lichtsteiner the Swiss international sliced well wide after being forced onto his left foot.

While the Viola seemed content to stifle the Juventus attacks they did slowly begin making their way into the game with Anderson trying to impress in midfield, snapping at the heels of the opposition and trying drive the team forward.

With Antonio Conte’s side struggling to play their way through the Viola it was a more direct approach that nearly brought the breakthrough as Claudio Marchisio played a ball over the top of the defence for Carlos Tevez who’s attempt to control the ball saw it trickle past the post despite appearing offside.

On 26 minutes Juventus went even closer when Asamoah met a deep cross sweetly on the volley, but Neto showed great reflexes to readjust his body and palm away when Alberto Aquilani’s outstretched boot nearly deflected the ball past him.

With their constant domination looking destined to give the Old Lady the lead a corner kick was excellently flicked on at the near post by Paul Pogba, but Juan Vargas just managed to rise high enough to head away and stop Vidal nodding into an empty net.

Just before half-time Juventus had their advantage through Asamoah, the Ghanaian with a wonderful piece of skill to cut in from the left, and although surrounded by several Fiorentina defenders fired off a shot that took a slight deflection off the leg of David Pizarro and flew in off Neto’s left post.

Highlighting the visitors meagre attempts to test the Gianluigi Buffon during the opening period was the fact that their only attempt was a blocked Aquilani shot from some 30 yards from goal.

Although the second half started following a similar path Fiorentina finally created a second attempt on the Juventus goal only for Gomez to completely head a Manuel Pasqual cross off target six yards from goal.

With Juventus seemingly willing to defend their one goal lead and Fiorentina failing to replicate the quality that they have shown on numerous times this season the game as a contest looked destined to fade away, as is the Viola’s hopes of catching Napoli in third and a chance of Champions League qualification.

However, as the clock ticked down Fiorentina nearly drew level when Ryder Matos, on for the ineffectual Gomez, met a Rafal Wolski flick-on yards from goal but could only direct his header against the crossbar as Juventus had their victory.

to grab a win against Viola

Yet another victory for Juventus, and this one was to equal Torino's record of 14 consecutive home wins from 1975-76. It may not have been an especially dazzling performance against Fiorentina, but when the same opponents must be faced twice more over the next 10 days -- in the last 16 of the Europa League -- energy needed to be preserved.

Kwadwo Asamoah and his delicious feet ensured a 1-0 victory and the full three points to keep Juve at the top of the table.

Fiorentina's strategy was obvious in the first 45 minutes. They wanted to contain the pressure by defending deep in their own half and then making the most of their pace when they won back possession. Defensively, they succeeded in frustrating Juventus, who struggled to play through them. Shutting down the spaces through the middle and defending very narrowly, the Bianconeri explored their avenues on the wings in the hope of stretching the back-line before pinging a ball into the box.

In failing through that strategy, Antonio Conte's men were always looking for that vertical pass over the top towards Fernando Llorente, who could hold the ball up and allow Carlos Tevez to make the right run.

AMAZONIAN

A lack of quality in Fiorentina's back-line made for an entertaining game. Modibo Diakite for one, had a torrid time trying to keep up with the Old Lady attack, over committing at the wrong times or simply too slow to halt a movement. Thus it came as no surprise that the goal Juventus did manage, came from the left, via Asamoah, who showed delightful skill to cut in and strike.

Once Fiorentina did win back possession, they struggled to come out of their own half, usually surrendering the ball back to one of the Bianconeri's midfielders, who pressed incessantly. Simply unable to make their time on the ball count, Fiorentina were forced into giving up on the notion of attack in order to contain Juve. Wasteful, careless and surprisingly poor in controlling the ball, the only chances Vincenzo Montella's men did have came when they committed a foul, or a perceived foul, to launch a quick attack before Juve had adequately rearranged themselves at the back. Even then, wrong decisions were made and Viola striker Mario Gomez was left ruing the little service he was given.

As for Juve, they enjoyed the ample space and time offered to Claudio Marchisio to pick out the right passes into the front areas. Rarely closed down, Fiorentina concentrated on marking the potential targets of his passes as opposed to cutting out the service altogether.

In the second half we saw the Viola allowed more time on the ball as they attempted to start constructing attacking passages of play. Gomez squandered an excellent chance when he was free to head in an equaliser.

Juventus, unfortunately, seemed to be too content with their 1-0 lead and adopted a relaxed approach in the latter half of the game. Pleased with possessing the ball as opposed to pushing through and creating goal scoring opportunities, they began to demonstrate imprecision with their passes, whilst both sides were guilty of seemingly dropping their focus.

However, this quickly changed when Montella began to make his substitutions and the Viola made the most of Juve's drop in intensity to start forcing errors from the likes of Angelo Ogbonna and creating good chances at goal. Gianluigi Buffon had to remain incredibly alert as he was forced into acting as a sweeper to rescue a back-line that erred again during a dangerous Viola move.

Direct runs by Juan Cuadrado and Ryder Matos' movement and tenacity made for a nervy ending but Juventus managed to hold on and register all three points to keep them in first place.

It was indeed puzzling to see that Conte's men had not learned their lesson from the last time they played the Viola, dropping their intensity to allow Fiorentina to grow in confidence. Perhaps this was an exercise in preserving energy, expending only the necessary amount and nothing more to make for an interesting Europa League tie. Only time will tell as the two face-off again on Thursday night.

Initial reaction and random observations

Juventus is developing a pattern. It could be viewed as good, it could be viewed as bad. Regardless, said pattern was on full display at Juventus Stadium during Sunday's lunchtime throwdown between Juve and Fiorentina.

AMAZONIAN

Yeah, it was one of those first halves. But it was also one of those second halves.

The difference between the Juventus of the first 45 minutes compared to the Juventus of the second 45 minutes was as noticeable as the awesomeness of Kwadwo Asamoah's stunning goal. Juventus' shots towards the Fiorentina goal were firing high and wide in the first half, but the main thing was that they were obviously creating plenty of opportunities. The second half, though, it was the Juve we've seen after the break the last few games. Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella clearly changed his team's approach, and it showed.

It was almost as if the teams switched roles at halftime without telling anybody. But sometimes you just need a shot to clang off the upright. When you're good, you get luck going your way, I guess.

Random thoughts and observations

• Kwadwo Asamoah is making me rethink the notion that Juventus need to sign a new starting left wingback this summer. He has been absolutely fantastic the last couple of months. It's the exact opposite of how he played during the second half of the season last year. How much that had to do with the busyness of the Africa Cup of Nations I don't really know, but it's pretty easy to see that Asamoah hasn't been this good form-wise since his first couple of months in a Juventus jersey. And that's never going to be a bad thing.

Oh, one more thing: HE SCORED A GOAL WITH HIS RIGHT FOOT.

49.1% - Fiorentina kept 49.1% of ball possession vs Juventus: their lowest percentage this season. Exertion.

If that's Fiorentina's lowest possession percentage this season, holy cow. I don't know what's more impressive in what comes out of that number — that Juventus kept Fiorentina to that, or that 49.1 percent possession became the lowest of the season. Impressive in both aspects, really.

• Leonardo Bonucci getting some much deserved rest gave Angelo Ogbonna to play in the center of the Juve defense for the first time in a little while. And he definitely took advantage of it. There seems to be a nervy moment or two whenever Ogbonna plays, but not Sunday afternoon. He was as reliable as he's ever been this season. He didn't play on the ball as much as Bonucci does because Juve were really putting an emphasis on attacking down the wings, but Ogbonna was one of his team's best players on Sunday.

• Claudio Marchisio with another unspectacular yet solid game as the fill-in for Andrea Pirlo as Juve's regista. He's done one hell of a job adapting to his new role and it just seems that he's getting better and better at it as he becomes more comfortable in it.

AMAZONIAN

• Gigi Buffon had one big save to make at it wasn't technically a save. Don't lie if your heart rate doubled when you saw San Gigi rushing off his line and out of the box to clear the ball. I know mine did.

• Unbeaten run currently stands at 19 games and counting. Juventus' lead atop Serie A currently stands at 14 points going into the afternoon and evening matches (you would like to think Roma vs. Napoli should be rather interesting). That's all I got for now. The sun is about to rise here in California and I'm going back to bed.

Gianluigi Buffon - The Italy international was barely tested by Fiorentina throughout the game.

Andrea Barzagli - Looked susceptible to the pace of Vargas in the early stages but as the pair contested more aerial balls he more frequently came out on top.

Angelo Ogbonna - Played at the heart of the defensive trio and did not put a foot wrong all afternoon as he helped limit the influence of Gomez on the game.

Giorgio Chiellini - On his return to the starting line-up he showed his quality with a very physical display that made it close to impossible for the Viola to penetrate his defence.

Stephan Lichtsteiner - Added some much-needed width down the right and combined with his team-mates well, but he did not supply enough crosses for the strikers.

Paul Pogba - The Frenchman was exceptionally dynamic in midfield, putting in strong challenges and also getting into the box to support Tevez and Llorente.

Claudio Marchisio - Attempted to fill the boots of the suspended Pirlo by spraying the raking passes from midfield. His vision was commendable but his execution was not always accurate.

Arturo Vidal - Picked up an early booking after a couple of clumsy challenges and it set the tone for his rather cumbersome display.

KWADWO ASAMOAH - Was a constant danger out on the left, supplying numerous crosses and efforts on goal, one of which broke the deadlock after a sublime piece of individual skill.

Carlos Tévez - The Argentine worked very hard for his team, closing the ball down and make regular runs in behind the defence. However, he did not test Neto enough.

Fernando Llorente - Attempted to bring his team-mates into the game as often as possible, but did not do so to the same extent in the second half. He too did not worry Neto, though.

Martín Cáceres - Replaced Lichtsteiner in the 79th minute.

Simone Padoin - Brought on for Marchisio in the 88th minute.

Mauricio Isla - Came on for Tevez with eight minutes remaining.

Neto - Made a good save from Asamoah's deflected shot in the first half but could do nothing to keep the Ghanaian's goal out. He was confident when coming off his line.

Modibo Diakite - Appeared nervous in the early stages as he sent a pass straight out of play but he soon collected himself and proved a formidable opponent at right-back.

Gonzalo Rodríguez - The Argentine showed good awareness to make a number of blocks when Juve got in behind. He closed quickly in a well-organised defence.

Stefan Savic - The Montenegrin stuck close to Llorente and did not allow him much room in and around the box as the Viola stayed compact.

Manuel Pasqual - Restricted the influence of Lichtsteiner in the wide areas and pushed on to help supply the forwards with much-needed ammunition.

Anderson - The Brazilian did his share of running in the centre of the park but he did not get close enough to Gomez to bring him into the action.

David Pizarro - The Chilean was caught in possession in dangerous areas on a couple of occasions but was let off the hook by Tevez both times.

Alberto Aquilani - The Italian failed to offer enough in terms of creativity for his side and pinged too many aimless passes over the top of the defence.

Juan Cuadrado - Started brightly with some clever play on the right as he utilised his blistering pace to full effect. He created openings but none were taken.

Mario Gomez - Received minimal service throughout the game and was often found chasing lost causes. He saw one header drop wide of the post from his best opportunity.

Juan Vargas - Made a couple of bright runs in behind Barzagli early on but was not picked out often enough and therefore was unable to make a real impact on the game.

Rafal Wolski - Brought on for Pizarro in the 65th minute and had one effort flash just wide of the post.

Mati Fernández - Came on for Anderson in the 57th minute and got Fiorentina playing much better football with his impressive passing.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte has revealed he will be nervous when he sits down to watch the clash between Roma and Napoli.

The Bianconeri ran out 1-0 winners over Fiorentina on Sunday thanks to a Kwadwo Asamoah goal, to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to 14 points.

“Will I watch the game? I can’t eat when I’m nervous! We will watch it in a relaxed and satisfied manner, because we have done our job," said Conte.

"There are still 11 rounds to go, but we are 50 per cent champions of Italy. We’re going at an extraordinary pace, but they’re not letting up behind us either."

Kwadwo Asamoah has conceded that Fiorentina made life difficult for Juventus after the Serie A leaders ran out 1-0 winners on Sunday.

The Ghana international played a key role in the win by scoring the only goal of the game shortly before the break as the Bianconeri moved 14 points clear of second-placed Roma, who play Napoli on Sunday night.

"It wasn’t easy to play against a top side like Fiorentina, so I’m pleased with the result," the midfielder told the official Juventus website.

"We gained three important points here."

The 25-year-old then went on to reflect on his goal and admitted that he did not expect his right-footed strike to go in.

in their 1-0 defeat, but feels their second-half showing merited at least a point.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has bemoaned his side's slow start in Sunday's 1-0 Serie A defeat at Juventus and feels they could have got a positive result with a bit more luck.

Kwadwo Asamoah scored the only goal of the game three minutes before the break as Juventus dominated possession in the opening period.

The visitors showed a slight improvement after the interval but were unable to find a way back into the match, although Montella believes they performed well enough to earn a share of the spoils.

"When you play against Juventus, a lot depends on them," the former striker is quoted as telling Sky Sport Italia.

AMAZONIAN

"We were forced to sit very deep in the first half, but despite that Juve didn't really have that many scoring opportunities. It wasn't the game we wanted to play, though, and we played higher up the pitch in the second half with a few chances to equalise. It's a shame.

"Everyone knows Juve are a very strong side in every aspect, so in all honesty I thought Fiorentina played a very good second half and could've equalised.

"The team slowly gained confidence and was under less intense pressure. I am satisfied with the reaction after an unusual first half for us, as we rarely play with that attitude, but we need faith and optimism."

The teams meet again in the Europa League last 16 on Thursday, with the second leg taking place on March 20, and Montella is certain his charges will be better prepared for the coming encounters.

Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual has insisted that his team will try to do better against Juventus in their Europa League meeting on Thursday after failing to overcome them in the Serie A on Sunday.

The Viola were defeated by the Bianconeri with a 1-0 result at Juventus Stadium on Sunday and although the 31-year-old isn’t fully dissatisfied with the Gigliati’s performance, he admits that they’ll be more concentrated for Thursday’s Europa League match in Turin.

Pasqual spoke to Sky Sport Italia after Fiorentina’s loss to Juve about the match and commented on the recent return of Mario Gomez, who was out of the club’s line up for around five months with a knee injury.

“The coach rarely speaks after the game,” said the Italian international. “It’s fair to analyse the challenge with a cool head.

But Asamoah has adapted well and is flourishing this season, suggesting that Juve may not need to invest in a left-sided player this summer, as was previously the talk from Juventini.

Juve Will Be Too Strong for Fiorentina in the Europa League

Juve proved on Sunday that they are a superior outfit to Fiorentina and that while the Viola managed to upset them earlier in the season in Florence, over two legs, it will be a very tough ask for Vincenzo Montella's men to even make it a close tie.

Juve barely got out of second gear at the Juventus Stadium, and you sensed that with the league wrapped up, they will focus fully on the last 16 Europa League tie, meaning they will be an even tougher opponent for the Viola.

There is animosity between the sides and the fans, which should make for a good spectacle, but ultimately, while they will be enjoyable matches, the outcome is unlikely to be a surprise.

Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli has stressed that the Serie A leaders cannot afford to rest on their laurels as he feels the race for the Scudetto is not over just yet.

If players ever needed additional motivation to play a high profile game at the top level, the Juventus Fiorentina game provided many before it even started. The "rematch" as many were calling it in the media, was supposed to be another cracker of a game between two very motivated teams. The first encounter against the two in October ended with Juventus suffering the first loss of the season after relinquishing a 0-2 lead at halftime in Florence.

AMAZONIAN

Unfortunately, as it is often the case, the quality of the game did not match the hype it followed. There was only one goal scored (to the previous 6 in October), there were no spectacular stories about players coming back from long knee injuries to carry teams to victories, and there was very little drama in front of either goal over the span of 90 minutes.

Fortunately though, and this is by far the most important thing for us Bianconeri, the resulting outcome of the match meant three points, a 14th straight victory at home, to match a now 14-point lead over Roma in the race for the Scudetto.

MATCH SUMMARY

Both teams were playing without their marquee playmakers as Pirlo and Borja Valero were unavailable. This was definitely one of the main reasons the quality of the match was a tad bit lower than expected.

Juventus, lining up Marchisio in Pirlo's role and Ogbonna in the center of defense, dominated the first 45 minutes. There weren't a ton of goal-scoring opportunities though, as the only notable one was in fact Asamoah's goal. The Ghanaian had seen plenty of the ball along the left flank in the first half (which was definitely by design with Pirlo not in the team) and after a couple shots on goal finally found his mark. Wiggling through 4 Fiorentina defenders, unusually for him he lined up a beautiful shot with his right foot that took the smallest of deflections and went in off the post. With just a few minutes left in the first half, it was the perfect time to strike and take the lead for Juventus.

The second half, while many label it as another meltdown by Juventus, was actually very even up until 10 minutes from time. Juventus weren't sitting deep and inviting Fiorentina on, which I actually thought was pretty encouraging given how some of our other recent second half performances have gone.

Fiorentina did get its chances to equalize though and it became very dangerous with the introduction of Mati Fernandez and Masto. Diakite had a goal disallowed offside, while Masto hit the crossbar of Buffon's goal with a close-range header. Bullet dodged, and a big one too.

At the end of 90 minutes it was another well-fought victory for Juventus, though many will question if this type of play will be sufficient to continue being victorious in the Europa League as well.

LE PAGELLE

Buffon: 7 - Was laser focused throughout the whole match and you can really see him eager to lead our team in games against big teams. Had a couple good saves and was very attentive to rush out and clear a goal-scoring opportunity for Fiorentina in the second half.

Barzagli: 6 - Didn't have his usual quality against Milan and the same story repeated against Fiorentina. He's not himself yet and he'll need a couple more games to get back to it. Vargas gave him more trouble than he should've.

Ogbonna: 7 - I thought Ogbonna had a great game subbing in for Bonucci in the middle of the pack. Tidied everything up, tracked Gomez when needed, and made some great clearances.

Chiellini: 7 - Our team is a different beast with him on the field. Despite Cuadrado's sneakiness and pace, Chiellini coped well and was at the right place at the right time on a few occasions.

Lichtsteiner: 6 - Surprisingly, most of our build up play came along the left flank with Pogba and Asamoah in tandem. Lichtsteiner tried to cut in from his right side and he even floated in some crosses in early on, but his delivery was way off. Had a good chance in the first half that he scuffed as well.

Vidal: 6 - Rarely do I give Vidal a 6, but he was very ineffective all day long. Got himself booked early and that kinda threw him off a bit.

Marchisio: 6.5 - Did his best possible Pirlo impression in the regista role and did it decently well. Had the right ideas - played it simple and down the flanks most of the time with the occasional long ball forward.

Pogba: 7 - Out of the three midfielders, he definitely stood out. Worked very hard to be useful in both attack and defense. He can still do much, much better - maybe he'll get his rest this Thursday against La Viola in the EL.

ASAMOAH: 8 - By far Juve's best player of the night and the definite difference maker. Scored a lovely goal, but also had a few other shots that were dangerous prior. He welcomed the opportunity to see more of the ball with Pirlo unavailable.

Tevez: 7 - He didn't score, but did everything possible to put himself in a position to do so. Worked tirelessly all game and recovered many balls with his pressing.

Llorente: 6.5 - Not the best of games for Fernando who will most likely sit the next one out with Osvaldo back in the squad. Had some good touches and fought valiantly in the air, but wasn't able to create much in attack with Tevez.

Antonio Conte may well decide not to risk his Serie A top scorer, handing the starting spots to Daniel Osvaldo and Fernando Llorente.

Moreno Torricelli thinks Juventus will prove to be too strong for Fiorentina in their Europa League round-of-16 tie.

The 44-year-old wore the Juve jersey between 1992 and 1998 before spending four years at the Tuscans, and while he expects a "fascinating" encounter between the Serie A rivals, he is confident the reigning Italian champions will emerge victorious.

"I think that Juventus will progress. I can see them win at home and then draw or get a small defeat in the return," Torricelli told Goal.

"I expect a tough match, though. There's a huge rivalry between these two teams and the tie will be even more fascinating because it's a European game.

Antonio Conte has rubbished the suggestion that he should be concerned by the performance of Paul Pogba in Sunday's Serie A win over Fiorentina.

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella warns Juventus “the strongest side doesn’t always win” in the Europa League.

Alessandro Matri hopes to score a goal against his former club in Fiorentina’s Europa League trip to Juventus.

“This is the third time I’ll come here this year, so I hope I have the right emotional reaction to the Juventus Stadium. Will I score? I hope so,” said the forward in his Press conference.

Matri already played here for Milan and Fiorentina in Serie A this season, losing on both occasions.

Fiorentina will be out for revenge when they face Juventus for the second time in a week in Thursday's Europa League last-16 first leg.

Vincenzo Montella's charges visited the impregnable Juventus Stadium in Serie A on Sunday and, like many before them this season, fell to defeat with Kwadwo Asamoah’s 42nd-minute winner proving enough to seal a 1-0 win for the hosts.

They travel to Turin for the second time in five days on Thursday for the first leg of their all-Italian clash hoping to upset the form books and become the first side to win at the home of the reigning Serie A champions since Bayern Munich in the Champions League on April 10.

Juve have won 12 consecutive home games in all competitions, and have a perfect record in the league with 14 wins out of 14.

However, Fiorentina can take heart from the fact they are the only side to have beaten Antonio Conte’s men in the league this season, Giuseppe Rossi's hat-trick seeing them come from 2-0 down with 25 minutes to play to win 4-2 in an incredible game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi back in October.

They will have to make do without their chief goalscorer on Thursday however, the 27-year-old still not having recovered from injuring knee ligaments in early January.

Montella's side made it through to this stage in comfortable fashion, claiming a 3-1 win in the first leg in Denmark against Esbjerg before securing their passage with a 1-1 draw in Italy.

Their opponents were even more assured in their progression, winning 2-0 in both legs against Turkey's Trabzonspor to secure a 4-0 aggregate success.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo scored in both legs of that tie, his first goals since arriving on loan from Southampton. Osvaldo was in the last Fiorentina side to win at Juventus back in March 2008, scoring a last-minute header in a 3-2 success, before being sent off for removing his shirt in celebration.

The pressure is on for UEFA Europa League final hosts Juventus as they welcome ACF Fiorentina to Turin for the round of 16 first leg, knowing their opponents have every possible motivation to block their path.

Fiorentina lost 1-0 at Juventus in Serie A on Sunday – a result which further confirmed they have little chance of claiming a UEFA Champions League place for next season – and fans with longer memories will be harking back to the 1990 UEFA Cup final, when the Bianconeri got the better of the Viola over two legs.

Juve coach Antonio Conte summed it up. "There's not much for them to play for now in the league so this is it for them – not like us who have the aim of a third Scudetto in a row, as well as the Europa League," he said. "Fiorentina can focus all their efforts on the Europa League as they're out of the cup and don't have a chance in the league."

However, while the 44-year-old acknowledged his side were being pushed to their limits by a busy fixture schedule – "you can't keep running without petrol," he noted cryptically – Juventus will not lack desire. "We know the Scudetto has a huge importance, but we also know the Europa League is a beautiful competition and it would be fantastic to go all the way," he said.

Conte did that with the Old Lady in the 1992/93 UEFA Cup, being the only coach in the last 16 to have won the trophy as a player, and feels this is a fixture that belongs on the highest stage. "We are two sides who play great football and this could be a good advert for Italy and for Europe," he said. "I say this and then it could end up 0-0 without any shots on goal, but I doubt it – both teams always want to hurt opponents by scoring goals and I hope it will be a great game fit for the occasion."

Though his charges were beaten in Turin at the weekend, Vincenzo Montella was heartened by Fiorentina's display, particularly after the break. "When you're playing at this kind of level, a lot also depends on your opponents," the coach said. "I don't know how many sides have played here at the Juventus Stadium the way my team did in the second half so we've got to believe."

The tie will be a special one for forward Alessandro Matri, who left Juventus for AC Milan last summer after 27 goals in 69 top-flight appearances, subsequently moving to Florence on loan in January. "It's the third time I come here, but it's always emotional," said the 29-year-old, an unused substitute on Sunday. "I've got to say I'd love to score against my former club."
