The first half-chance of the match fell to the visiting side in the 20th minute when Paul Pogba got his head onto a cross but could not send his effort on goal. The home side took the lead against the run of play in the 28th minute when Gianluigi Buffon misplayed a clearance attempt straight to the feet of Gennardo Sardo. The defender picked out Thereau in the box, and the Frenchman smashed home the one timer past Buffon to give the Flying Donkeys the 1-0 lead. The Bianconeri looked to fight back in the 33rd minute when Andrea Pirlo unleashed a shot from outside the box that went just over the bar after deflecting off a Chievo defender. The away side’s best chance of the first half came in the 43rd minute when Mauricio Isla’s cross was deflected onto the head of Fernando Llorente, but the Spaniard failed to get any power behind his effort as it was easily grabbed by Christian Puggioni. The second half started off at a feverish pace as the Bianconeri found their equalizer after just two minutes. Quagliarella was miraculously denied by Puggioni from close range on two occasions, but the Juve striker bundled home his third effort to level the score at 1-1. Controversy erupted only minutes later as the home side looked to have taken the lead after Buffon spilled a Simone Bentivoglio shot that was tapped in by Alberto Paloschi. However the Flying Donkeys striker was incorrectly called offside as replays showed he was well onside when the shot was taken. Claudio Marchisio, who was starting his first match since returning from injury, came close to giving the away side the lead in the 56th minute but Puggioni did well to send his effort out for a corner. The Bianconeri’s pressure paid off in the 65th minute when Pogba sent in a searching cross from the left for Llorente. However the ball didn’t arrive to the Spaniard as an outstretched Bernardini bundled the cross into his own net to give the away side the 2-1 lead. The Flying Donkeys seemed to tire at that point and failed to mount any sort of sustained pressure against the away side as Juventus retained pressure in hopes of running out the clock. The full time whistle came with little fanfare with the Bianconeri securing a precious three points.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Sep 25, 2013 Juventus came back from a goal behind to beat Chievo 2-1 on Wednesday to retain their unbeaten streak among the big guns at the top of Serie A.http://markting10.nl/ Cyril Thereau put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute before the champions hit back in the second half through Fabio Quagliarella and an Alessandro Bernardini own goal to seal all three points and maintain their unbeaten record this season. Giuseppe Sannino made four changes to the Chievo side that beat Udinese 2-1 at the weekend with Claiton, Simone Bentivoglio, Gennaro Sardo and Thereau all recalled to the starting XI. Juve boss Antonio Conte also made signifcant alterations to his team, with five switches from Sunday's 2-1 win over Chievo’s neighbours Hellas Verona, where they also fought back from a goal down. Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini returned in goal and defence, with Marco Storari, Leonardo Bonucci and Carlos Tevez among those to drop to the bench. After a cagey opening to the game, Juve began to look more threatening with Fernando Llorente, Quagliarella and Paul Pogba all firing over in the space of five minutes. But, despite those chances for the Turin-based outfit, it was the hosts who took the lead just before the half-hour mark. Buffon's poor clearance was brought down by Sardo, and his early pass was swept home first time by Thereau from just inside the area. The visitors responded to falling behind brightly, with Andrea Pirlo's shot from the edge of the box deflected just over the crossbar. Quagliarella then stung the palms of Christian Puggioni, the Chievo goalkeeper beating away an effort from distance in the 38th minute. And Llorente wasted a golden chance to equalise two minutes before the break when Mauricio Isla's shot was deflected into his path, but the Spain international's weak header was easily gathered by Puggioni. A minute after the interval, however, Juve were level thanks to Quagliarella. It was a scrappy equaliser, with the Italy international seeing his initial header saved, before hitting both bar and post with the rebound and finally stabbing the ball in from right on the goalline. Two minutes later, the Sannino side thought they had retaken the lead when Alberto Paloschi converted the follow up after Buffon's fumble, but the referee's assistant had raised his flag, although replays showed Paloschi to be well onside. As the game opened up with the hour mark approaching, Claudio Marchisio and Chiellini were both denied by Puggioni from range, with Llorente sending another weak header straight into the keeper's arms. Juve continued to press though and went ahead in the 65th minute, as Bernardini deflected home Pogba's wicked cross from the right-hand side with Llorente waiting to pounce. The remainder of the game saw no clear-cut chances as Conte's men closed out the match to move up to third in Serie A.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Sep 25, 2013 The Bianconeri rotated the squad again after fighting back to beat Hellas Verona 2-1 on Sunday. Chievo were fresh from defeating Udinese 2-1, their first win of the season, though Dario Dainelli and Perparim Hetemaj were unavailable, but Marcelo Estigarribia faced his old club.http://markting10.nl/ Juve have only ever lost here once, 1-0 in 2009-10, along with seven wins and three draws. It was a slow start in Verona with Paul Pogba having the first real chance on 20 minutes, his header off target from a Federico Peluso cross. Incredibly, Chievo took the lead, as Buffon’s poor clearance fell to Gennaro Sardo and his cross found Cyril Thereau’s volley. Fabio Quagliarella’s effort smacked Claiton in the face and as the move continued Andrea Pirlo’s follow-up was deflected over the bar. Quagliarella stung Cristian Puggioni’s palms from distance and Juve had penalty appeals for an Estigarribia handling offence, as he was scuffling with Pogba at the time. Llorente should’ve equalised before the break, but his header had no power behind it on Mauricio Isla’s cross. Quagliarella found a way through straight after the restart, though he his header was parried from point-blank range, then he hit the post before eventually bundling it over the line. Alberto Paloschi thought he had scored on 49 minutes when taking advantage of another Buffon error, but it was disallowed. The goalkeeper spilled Simone Bentivoglio’s attempt into the path of Paloschi, who tapped in when clearly not in an offside position. It was a bizarre decision that infuriated the home crowd. Puggioni beat away a Giorgio Chiellini screamer, but Chievo shot themselves in the foot when Bernardini dived on to a Pogba cross and accidentally deflected it into his own net.CHIEVO: Puggioni; Sardo, Claiton, Cesar, Drame, Bernardini; Bentivoglio, Rigoni, Estigarribia (Radovanovic 66); Paloschi (Ardemagni 69), Thereau (Pellissier 87) JUVENTUS: Buffon; Barzagli, Ogbonna, Chiellini; Isla (Lichtsteiner 64), Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Quagliarella (Tevez 75), Llorente (Vidal 88) Ref: De Marcohttp://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Attendance: 11000 Initial reaction and random observations Sep 25, 2013 There seems to be a trend growing here. You know, the one where we're facepalming at some point in the first half because Juventus find themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline.http://markting10.nl/ People will complain about the offside call that shouldn't have been an offside call and given Chievo a 2-1 lead. That will be the narrative most will go with because it's the easy one to lead with. And while everybody who roots against Juventus will be pointing to that moment and generating their best conspiracy theories as to why the goal wasn't a goal, I wanna put your attention to something else. It will be pretty easy to figure out, you guys. The fact was that Juventus were down 1-0 in the first half again. And the fact was that Juventus came back to win 2-1 — again. If there wasn't a Alessandro Bernardini own goal, it might have been a completely different discussion we're probably going having in the comment section. No "Three points, on to the next one!" or anything like that. There would have been some yelling, more than already is happening. But the fact still remains that Juventus fell behind again and then, no matter what happened with the stupid refereeing decisions occurred during the course of the second half, came back to win a fixture that has been quite a difficult one ever since Antonio Conte took over as manager. Conte knows that, and he knows that not every game is going to be a walk in the park because he's a smart fellow. Or I'll just let Fabio Quagliarella speak for me. He seems like a smart guy.Quagliarella: We can’t keep letting our opposition take the lead, even though up until now we’ve had the character to come back. Bingo. Well said.Random thoughts and observations •Wednesday's game was not Gigi Buffon's finest hour. His botched attempt of a clearance was the reason why Chievo scored their lone goal of the game. And then, to top it off, San Gigi's fumbled save allowed Alberto Paloschi to score but not actually score a second goal for Chievo. He looked like a keeper who had taken a couple months off, not given a simple rest over the weekend. They were both mistakes that should have never happened, especially for a player of Buffon's class. •Paul Pogba was Juventus' best wingback and delivered the best cross of anybody on Wednesday night. •That's not a good thing. Well, for the guys who are the actual wingbacks, that is. •Say what you want about Fabio Quagliarella, but in the past two midweek games, he's saved Juventus' backside. A goal against Copenhagen, another against Chievo. Hey, maybe it's not such a bad thing that Juve kept this guy around this summer and giving him a bit of playing time. Now somebody go find me a video of Claudio Zuliani singing after a Quagliagol.Quagliarella: I needed to shoot three times to score, thankfully it went in. The goal gave us the push to go for the winner. •Personal opinion: Fernando Llorente played a pretty okay game. Chievo defense knocked him around pretty good, which I'm sure will probably be a regular thing amongst Serie A clubs. But he responded to all of the fouls — and the clear fouls that weren't called — well even though there's no more sporting of his no beard anymore. (Not that having a beard has anything to do with his performance...or does it?) He's not there yet. But with every game he plays, the rust continues to go away, the rapport with his teammates continues to grow and the adaption to Serie A continues. •WhoScored says that Giorgio Chiellini was the Man of the Match. What say you? •Speaking of things we get to see on WhoScored, here's what Claudio Marchisio did against Chievo: A game-high six tackles, 82 touches, 94 percent pass accuracy. I missed that guy. Welcome back.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Attendance: 11000 Own goal gives Juve edge Sep 25, 2013 Juventus needed an own-goal from Alessandro Bernardini to come from behind and beat Chievo 2-1 at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.http://markting10.nl/ Despite the fact Juve were still chasing runaway joint leaders Roma and Napoli, coach Antonio Conte opted to rest in-form stars Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez and it backfired as Cyril Thereau found his way through a sluggish visiting defence to open the scoring. Fabio Quagliarella dragged his colleagues back into the game after the break but an under-par Bianconeri side were generally short on ideas and were lucky that the hapless Bernardini gifted them all three points. Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom side Sassuolo, though, allowing Juve to take a share of second place while Roma moved two points clear at the top after beating Sampdoria 2-0. It was a slow start at the Bentegodi and it took 14 minutes for Alberto Paloschi to try his luck, only for Giorgio Chiellini to make the block. Fernando Llorente's sighter at the other end lacked accuracy but the build-up play was impressive and Juve came knocking again with Paul Pogba leaping at a Federico Peluso cross. The visitors continued to turn the screw, so it was a surprise when Chievo took the lead in the 28th minute. Gianluigi Buffon made a hash of a short pass out to his defence and Gennardo Sardo gratefully swept up the ball to give it to Thereau, who confidently whipped home on the half-volley. The Bianconeri would not suffer any further embarrassment before the break but they failed to make the most of several chances to equalise. Quagliarella's snapshot fell to Andrea Pirlo, whose follow-up effort went out for a corner and, two minutes before half-time, Llorente fluffed an easy header from a Mauricio Isla cross. Juve put their heads together over the interval and contrived to level the scores two minutes after the restart. Pogba was heavily involved in supplying Quagliarella for two shots against the flailing Puggioni. The Chievo goalkeeper moved quickly to save both, but could not keep a third out. Ten minutes later Chievo would find themselves behind when they could have been leading 2-1. Another mistake from Buffon when dealing with Simone Bentivoglio's shot saw Paloschi bundle over the line, but the offside flag denied him a goal. Chievo did not protest too much but they were enraged when Bernardini contrived to stub the ball past his own keeper under pressure from Llorente in the 65th minute. Conte knew his side had been poor and, in his search for a decisive third goal, he introduced the rested Tevez for the final throes. The Argentinian certainly spiced up the forward line but three minutes of stoppage time were not enough for the former Manchester City man to put his team out of sight in Verona.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Attendance: 11000 Controversial win for the Comeback Kings Sep 25, 2013 Already defined as the comeback kings this season, Juve simply aren’t Juve unless they have conceded first. Inter, Copenhagen, Hellas Verona and now Chievo Verona -- all four of the Old Lady’s recent opponents scored the first goal. Thankfully, for the second time in four days against a Veronese side, Antonio Conte's men managed to collect maximum points in a 2-1 win over Chievo Wednesday to keep their place in the Serie A table.http://markting10.nl/ Much like Hellas Verona did Sunday, Chievo opted to change their formation to counteract Juve's strength in the middle. A side that has played a 4-4-2 in all their previous Serie A clashes this season, tonight they opted to bolster the defence by playing a dull 5-3-2. The result? As boring as one would expect. Giuseppe Sannino's men played deep with practically all their players behind the ball and congested the area so the Bianconeri could not weave their way through the middle. This not only stopped the forwards connecting, but it halted the midfielders from making timely runs into the box. The were simply no spaces between the lines, and the likes of Andrea Pirlo were marked closely to cut Juve's creativity at the source. The only space available to Conte’s men was in the wide areas. Unfortunately, there was little they could do with that option as most passes delivered into the box were poor, with very few reaching the intended recipient. Moreover, the Old Lady played without pace, allowing the Flying Donkeys all the time in the world to take up their positions and defend staunchly. Fernando Llorente was especially frustrated and did everything he could to impress his coach. He hustled, fouled, fell in the box but most importantly he fought, even if his efforts seemed a tad dramatic at times. As seems to happen with the Old Lady these days, they conceded from Chievo’s first venture into the opposite side of the pitch. Gianluigi Buffon, apparently capable of an odd moment of ineptitude, cleared poorly and gifted the opponents an attacking opportunity, which led to a Cyril Thereau goal. One shot, one goal -- the story of Juve's opponents so far this season. Hyperbolic statements aside, Juventus had to work hard for the victory. The second half saw a much more courageous Old Lady, who hastened her tempo and threw men forward to encourage an equaliser at the very least. Less than two minutes into the second half and their prayers were answered as Fabio Quagliarella grabbed the leveler. Whilst the change in tempo inspired a positive turn, what truly made the difference were Paul Pogba’s accurate deliveries into the box from the wide areas that he roamed into more and more. The youngster succeeded where the likes of Federico Peluso and Mauricio Isla failed. Pinpoint deliveries into the middle not only resulted in Quagliarella’s equaliser but in the own goal that won Juve the game. Sadly for Sannino’s men, Alberto Paloschi’s goal was wrongly ruled offside. Buffon had committed yet another monumental error and Paloschi exploited the opportunity to score from the rebound. The referee gave the goal but the linesman, according to Sannino, waved his flag and forced the ref to cancel it, as he duly did. The home side were understandably furious and they soon descended into aggressive play before they calmed their ways. Controversy is the media’s bread and butter and this incident will be discussed at great lengths with the likes of Calciomercato immediately publishing an online report with the headline surrounding the ‘Mystery of the cancelled goal’. Juventus, for their courage and the manner in which they controlled the ball when in the lead, deserved the win. They sped up the tempo and left themselves vulnerable when chasing the lead. When it was attained, they held on to the result with relative ease as they fought to secure the defence and maintain possession. Their maturity proved to be the difference in the end. Now if they could only learn how not to concede first ....http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Sep 25, 2013CHIEVOChristian Puggioni - Unfortunate to concede on both occasions and was very assured between the posts otherwise.Alessandro Bernardini - Gave a good account of himself in defence, working well in tandem with the rest of the backline to snuff out the danger from the opposition. However, he was desperately unfortunate to slide the ball into his own net on a full-stretch attempt at a clearance.Dos Santos - A very strong game in defence, as he was always tight on the likes of Quagliarella, and made it difficult for Juve to get a sight on goal.Bostjan Cesar - Hardly put a foot wrong at the back, using his feet, head and anything else to prevent the ball from reaching its target in the box.Gennaro Sardo - Performed well on the right side of the hosts' defence, tracking Peluso well and showing a safety first approach.Boukary Dramé - Very aggressive on Isla out wide, and though he did see yellow for clipping the Juve man, his tenacity was a big reason that the visitors did not find much joy down that side of the pitch.Simone Bentivoglio - Kept his poise remarkably well to pounce on a poor Gianluigi Buffon clearance and slide a neat pass into Cyril Thereau for Chievo's first half opener. On the periphery of the game otherwise.Marcelo Estigarribia - Had one or two openings where he was able to put in a decent delivery on the left, but generally, it was a game of minimal impact from him.Luca Rigoni - Clogged up play effectively in the centre of the park, showing no hesitation to put a tackle in or sit deep to close off avenues at the top of the box.Alberto Paloschi - Mostly found it hard to manufacture space for himself, and even his attempts to drift wide usually went unheeded. Another unlucky player for the home side, seeing his rebounded goal incorrectly chalked off for offside.Cyril Thereau - Slid home an excellent finish for Chievo's goal, and was very intelligent with his use of the ball throughout.SubstitutionsIvan Radovanovic - Added nothing positive to his side's endeavors on the pitch.Matteo Ardemagni - Could not get many meaningful touches on the ball in his relatively short spell on the pitch. http://markting10.nl/ JUVENTUSGianluigi Buffon - A dreadful clearance saw Chievo get the ball in a position to score the opener, and he also spilled a shot badly into the path of Paloschi to score, but on that occasion, he was bailed out by a bogus offside call. A bundle of nerves throughout and one of his worst games for a long while.Andrea Barzagli - Largely impeccable at the back, reading the game well and making the defensive plays that his side needed when Chievo broke forward.Angelo Obinze Ogbonna - Showed good pace to chase down the likes of Paloschi on the counter, and did little wrong on the night.Giorgio Chiellini - Was his typically uncompromising self at the back, putting in a number of successful tackles, and marshalling the opposition forwards well.Mauricio Isla - A forgettable game for Mauricio Isla, as his defending was weak and passive, while he messed up possession multiple times on the ball.Paul Pogba - Drifted out wide to great effect to put a few choice deliveries into the box, with two such balls setting up the events of both of his side's goals. A menace in the middle as well, breaking up play and driving Juve forward.Andrea Pirlo - Found it hard to prise open the opposition in the face of a determined rearguard effort from Chievo. Lost the ball once or twice under pressure in the second half as he began to tire.Claudio Marchisio - Had a solid defensive game throughout, but really started to contribute in an attacking sense in the second half, threatening regularly from the top of the box.Federico Peluso - Offered his side little in the way of enterprise or directness out wide, and as a result, Juve's penetration and general attacking threat suffered.Fernando Llorente - For a man of his stature and reputation, he was rather disappointing in the air, failing to get a good connection on the multiple headed chances that fell his way. Still finding his feet in Italian football.Fabio Quagliarella - More dynamic and hungry than his strike partner Fernando Llorente, but most of his endeavours led him down dead ends, as the defence was able to thwart him. However, his tenacity was rewarded with a goal on the rebound to bring Juve level at the start of the second half.SubstitutionsStephan Lichtsteiner - Gave a more assured display on the right flank than Mauricio Isla, proving more careful on the ball.Carlos Tévez - Provided his side with a welcome respite up front, as his willingness to run with the ball kept pressure away from his side's goal. http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

It was reported Chievo President Luca Campedelli came down after the game to reassure the linesman who made the error. “Chievo’s sense of fair play is impressive and everyone should follow their example. We were lucky today, because the situation went our way. Having said that, I hope the media won’t go over this incident again and again while ignoring decisions that go against Juventus, such as the penalty on Carlos Tevez with Lazio. We want to help the referees, whereas the media want to cause controversy. “It’s starting to get a bit repetitive that we go behind on the first chance,” Conte told Mediaset Premium. “Up until that moment the match was in our hands with Gigi Buffon acting as a spectator. We did well to press the reset button at half-time and turn it around after the break. “In the locker room I spoke about tactical situations and fortunately my players listen to what I have to say. September 25, 2013 8:45 PM Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi — Verona Referee: Andrea De Marco Attendance: 11000 Juventus must start better - Quagliarella The striker is concerned with how the Bianconeri are not being dominant from the start, while coach Antonio Conte praised his side's fight to win 2-1. Sep 26, 2013 Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella has warned his team-mates that they cannot keep going behind if they are to be successful this season.http://markting10.nl/ The Serie A champions surrendered the lead in the fourth successive game on Wednesday as they beat Chievo 2-1 at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, moving up to third in the Serie A table, two points behind leaders Roma. Cyril Thereau opened the scoring in the 28th minute for the hosts, following a mistake from Gianluigi Buffon, before Quagliarella equalised a minute into the second half with a scrappy effort. Alessandro Bernardini put through his own net on 65 minutes to hand Antonio Conte's men the win, but the Italy international remains wary that his side keep leaving themselves a mountain to climb. "We can't keep letting our opponents take the lead," Quagliarella told the Bianconeri's official website. "It's not a good sign. The coach drummed it into us during the week. It's something that needs to be worked on, even if up until now we've had the character to come back." Conte praised Wednesday's opponents but went on to laud the fighting qualities shown by his players to recover from the dent of going behind in the first half. "Hats off to Chievo, they were very organised," the Turin-based club coach said. "We did well to prevent them from breaking on the counterattack, but going forward - especially in the first half - we attacked with very few players. "That’s something that can happen though, it’s our fourth consecutive game, the sixth for those who played in the international fixtures, and we've rotated many players. "We know it's a tough league and we'll need to fight in every game to gain a result. To lift our heads and overturn the deficit as we've done in the last two games shows we have important qualities."http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Cerci without a doubt,” the stopper said of his international teammate in an interview with Tuttosport. “He’s doing well and we’ll have to be very alert in trying to stop his rapidity. “When Torino counter then they can cause you damage. Juventus are going well, but the Granata have also played excellently of late. “They are a dangerous side, they will mirror our formation, they have quick players in attack. It would be good if the Juventus players won all of their personal duels.” Barzagli is one third of a solid defence on paper, but one which has conceded in each of their last five games. “We are letting in a few more goals,” added the 2006 World Cup winner. “However, in the games against Copenhagen, Verona and Chievo, we gave very few chances away. “We dominated those games. Sep 28, 2013 The Derby della Mole takes place on Sunday as Juventus travel the short distance to their former Stadio Olimpico home to face Turin rivals Torino in Serie A. http://markting10.nl/ La Vecchia Signora are unbeaten in 14 games against their more modest neighbours and are clear 1/2 (1.50) favourites with Betway to pick up a fifth-consecutive win in this clash. However, Giampiero Ventura’s men are unbeaten in their last five games on home soil and are available at 6/1 (7.00) to secure a long-awaited first win over their old foes since 1995. Four of those five fixtures have resulted in draws, and you can get odds of 14/5 (3.80) on the hosts earning a share of the spoils for the first time in six encounters. Few local derbies can have been more one-sided than this one over the past few years, as Antonio Conte’s men have taken 22 points from the last 24 against their neighbours without conceding a single goal. However, the Granata will be confident of causing their visitors more problems after starting the season in productive form in front of goal, scoring twice in four of their five games so far. Ventura’s side have also struck twice in each of their last four Serie A games in front of their own fans, including in the visit of AC Milan, and will have been encouraged by some recent defensive wobbles from their usually watertight guests. Juventus have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last five matches and have gone behind in each of their last four, so will go into the derby with question marks surrounding a backline that has seen three different centre-back combinations in each of the last three outings. Considering Torino’s attacking start to the season, odds of 9/10 (1.90) offer clear value on both sides hitting the back of the net on Sunday, with the visitors having failed to score just once in their last 29 league games.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Sep 28, 2013 Juventus coach Antonio Conte insists that he is taking the threat of Torino seriously ahead of Sunday's Serie A showdown at the Stadio Olimpico.http://markting10.nl/ The reigning champions have made a strong start to the season and currently sit fourth, having won four and drawn one of their five games thus far. The Bianconeri are also unbeaten in the Turin derby for 18 years, but Conte is taking nothing for granted against a Torino side that currently sits eighth in the standings. "We’ve got great respect for them," the 44-year-old told reporters on the eve of the game. "They’re an excellent side and have good players. "We know the derby is always a different type of game. I remember the year (1994-95) when we won the title but lost both games against Torino. "We know we need to improve but there are also plenty of positives from our start to the season. "It will be tough this year. Whomever we face will try and stop us from playing and make life difficult. "The form book goes out of the window in derby games and we need to stay on our guard. Anything could happen." Mirko Vucinic had been expected to miss the derby with a knee injury, but Conte revealed that the Montenegro international could feature against the Granata. "We've got one more training session remaining and we'll make our assessments on the players' condition," he explained. "Vucinic has trained and his condition is improving." Sep 28, 2013 Torino ace Alessio Cerci has hailed Carlos Tevez as "a special player" ahead of Sunday's Turin derby - but joked that the Juventus forward cannot boast a left foot like his.http://markting10.nl/ The Argentine has made a fine start to his Bianconeri career following his summer switch from Manchester City, having endeared himself to his new club's supporters with three goals from his first five Serie A outings. However, Cerci believes that it is Tevez's aggressive attitude which sets him apart from other players, with the winger revealing during an interview with Tuttosport which of the 29-year-old's assets he wished he possessed. "The anger that he expresses during the 90 minutes; this strong character that he has; this incredible grit. "He transmits positive energy. Tevez is always fired up on the field. He has extraordinary technical skills, great physical abilities which, when added to that character, make him a special player. "But he certainly doesn't have my left foot!" Cerci has also caught the eye this season, having notched five times already in his new, more advanced attacking position. However, he knows that Torino will be up against it at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. "Inside of us, we all believe we can do it," he said. "But it's a tough game and we know we have to pull off, if not a miracle, then at least a great feat." Cerci, of course, was linked with a move to AC Milan during the summer and while he insists that he is perfectly happy in Turin, he freely admits that he is desperate to play in the Champions League at some point. "I've always said I want to stay at Torino," he pointed out. "If we had ever had to analyse certain situations, I do it. "Also because I'm no longer a kid. At 26, you would like to realise the dream of playing in the Champions League." Sep 28, 2013 Juventus will hope to maintain their 18-year dominance over local rivals Torino when the sides meet in Serie A on Sunday. The last time Juve suffered defeat in the clash was in 1995, and they have won 10 of the 14 subsequent meetings.http://markting10.nl/ Antonio Conte's side currently sit in fourth place, having dropped points just once this season, while city rivals Torino find themselves in eighth having lost only once. Juventus were given a stiff test last time out, however, as they were forced to come from behind at Chievo on Wednesday thanks to a second-half effort from Fabio Quagliarella and an Alessandro Bernardini own goal. The hosts were left aggrieved after seeing a goal wrongly chalked off due to an incorrect offside call and Conte believes his side were lucky to get away with the three points. "Chievo's sense of fair play is impressive and everyone should follow their example. We were lucky today, because the situation went our way," he said. "Up until that moment the match was in our hands with Gigi [Gianluigi] Buffon acting as a spectator. We did well to press the reset button at half-time and turn it around after the break." After a disappointing season last time out, in which they finished 16th, Torino have made an impressive start to their campaign, going into the derby unbeaten in three matches during which they came within seconds of beating AC Milan. Giampiero Ventura's men also have an in-form Alessio Cerci in their ranks, with the former Fiorentina forward scoring four times in his last three games to sit joint top of the scorers' standings with five. Ventura wants his side to continue their impressive start to the season when the champions come to town, adding that he feels the league is a tougher proposition this year than last. "We have many new players at this club and we have also changed our formation but we are a team that always tries to play purposeful football," Ventura said. "We want to grow and continue pushing on because we are playing in a league that is more difficult than last year.” Torino have not beaten Juventus in their last 14 games, last securing local bragging rights in 1995 thanks to a 2-1 win. They have also failed to score against the Bianconeri in their last eight meetings - last finding the net in a 2-2 draw in February 2002. Juventus remain without long-term absentees Simone Pepe (thigh) and Martin Caceres (knee), while a broken foot keeps Torino's only injury concern, Marcelo Larrondo, out of the game.Head to Head Serie A - Apr 28, 2013 - Torino 0 - 2 Juventus Serie A - Dec 1, 2012 - Juventus 3 - 0 Torino Serie A - Mar 7, 2009 - Torino 0 - 1 Juventus Serie A - Oct 25, 2008 - Juventus 1 - 0 TorinoLast Five Matches TORINO Sep 25, 2013 - Torino 2 - 2 Hellas Verona - Serie A Sep 22, 2013 - Bologna 1 - 2 Torino - Serie A Sep 14, 2013 - Torino 2 - 2 AC Milan - Serie A Sep 1, 2013 - Atalanta 2 - 0 Torino - Serie A Aug 25, 2013 - Torino 2 - 0 Sassuolo - Serie AJUVENTUS Sep 25, 2013 - Chievo 1 - 2 Juventus - Serie A Sep 22, 2013 - Juventus 2 - 1 Hellas Verona - Serie A Sep 17, 2013 - FC Copenhagen 1 - 1 Juventus - UCL Sep 14, 2013 - FC Internazionale 1 - 1 Juventus - Serie A Aug 31, 2013 - Juventus 4 - 1 Lazio - Serie Ahttp://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

I will never forget the derby when we won the Scudetto and still lost both Derbies. It is a fixture where technique and quality are not enough, as you need grit, sporting aggression and rage. In certain games the hunger counts more than organisation.” Giampiero Ventura scrapped his trademark 4-2-4 system this season for a 3-5-2 with Alessio Cerci moved from the wing to a striker role. “I always respected Torino and appreciated their tactics. If Ventura has decided to change, he will have his reasons. Toro remain well organised and have excellent individuals like Cerci and Ciro Immobile. I am certain they’ll face us in an open and attacking way. “The Derby is a unique event. Nothing counts here, not your wages nor the position in the table. There is a lot of respect between us, as Turin has two glorious clubs. I have many friends who are Toro supporters.” Juventus have been stuttering of late, needing to fight back to gain results against Copenhagen, Inter, Hellas Verona and Chievo. “We always try to improve, but the statistics of the last few games do not show a disastrous Juventus,” continued Conte. “We picked up four wins and two draws, which doesn’t seem bad to me. We know that we have to improve certain aspects, but let’s wait before talking about a Juve that is struggling. We know it’ll be more difficult this season, because teams change their approach and play only to limit us. “Winning two consecutive titles in such clear fashion did bring a sense of certainty to the squad. It’s inevitable after two years of success that the approach will be less ferocious. However, I am not worried because I know that my team has great men as well as great players. Everyone is waiting for us to slip up and play the game of their lives against Juve.” There are reports Andrea Pirlo will be rested, but Conte joked when asked who would partner Carlos Tevez in attack. “Why, are you certain Tevez is playing? There’s one more training session and then three important games coming up. We’ve rotated so far and will try to finish this fixture-intensive period as best we can. I focus on the team, not on any particular individual. “As for Pirlo, we are making evaluations. I won’t say yes or no right now, but I will remind you we have other important games coming up on the horizon. I want to keep everyone in the best condition possible. “Mirko Vucinic had a problem with his heel that was caused by the knock to the knee on international duty, but he’s better now and at our disposal.”http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

We know our qualities, we know we can do it and I say that with the utmost respect. “Juve are strong, but we have the belief that we can do this. The Derby is always a separate game from everything else. We have grown and are more mature than last season.” Ventura takes inspiration from Roma Coach Rudi Garcia, whose side beat Lazio 2-0 last week. “Garcia said ‘you don’t play a Derby, you win it’ and I can only agree. If this Torino wants to, then it can achieve something important. This should be our slogan: ‘If you want it, then you can succeed.’ “I hope the fans will flock to the game too and be able to one day say: ‘I was there.’” Andrea Pirlo could be rested for this match, so Ventura was asked about possible tactical adjustments to compensate. “We’d still have to face Paul Pogba the same way, even if he has different characteristics. Antonio Conte said other teams play more defensively against them, but that’s fairly normal. If I were to challenge Mike Tyson then I’d do it on a chess board rather than in a boxing ring!”http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

He’ll come face to face with the Bianconeri and their star forward Tevez on Sunday at 12.30pm. “Tevez has extraordinary technique and quality, physical stamina and great character, which all together make him special. However, he doesn’t have my left foot... I might not have his right foot either, but he doesn’t have my left,” Cerci told Tuttosport. “It is nice to feel like a reference point for this splendid squad. I see what we do during the week to improve and this too is why I’m happy to be important for the team. I arrived late for pre-season training because I was at the Confederations Cup and didn’t even know some of my teammates, but I immediately realised a real team unit was coming together.” Cerci will face one of his former teammates on Sunday, as ex-Torino captain Angelo Ogbonna moved to Juventus this summer for €13m plus add-ons. “I spoke to Angelo a few days ago, but we didn’t mention the Derby. I’d be pleased if he played because Angelo is a good lad who gave so much to Toro over the years and always behaved well within the squad. “Juventus have defensive solidity under Antonio Conte and to create problems we’ll need to receive the ball close to the box. It’s all about being balanced and prepared at the back too.” Cerci had been linked with some top clubs over the summer, including Napoli, Milan and Roma, but opted to remain at Torino. “I have no regrets, but at the same time it’s normal that a player wants to be in the Champions League. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. “Was I close to leaving Torino? It wasn’t very clear, but I always said I wanted to remain. I am happy here, people love me at the club and I had no intention of moving on. If I had to analyse a proposal that couldn’t be refused, I would’ve done that too. After all, I’m 26 and the ambition is different to when you’re 20. However, these recent victories have been somewhat lacklustre in nature.http://markting10.nl/ They showed a lack of cutting edge against Hellas Verona, then scraped a win at Chievo Verona after the Flying Donkeys had a goal chalked off for a fantasy offside call. Torino are unbeaten in their last three games, taking five points, but the Granata might feel they should have taken maximum points in this run, as they had the lead against Milan and Hellas Verona. It has been 14 matches since Torino were able to win the Turin Derby, a spell that stretches all the way back to 1995, so Toro will be desperate to break this record. The Bianconeri have bigger fish to fry next week, though, with Galatasaray in the Champions League, a match that is massively important after the stuttering start in Copenhagen. Giampiero Ventura will hope that Antonio Conte rests several players and that his side can catch the Old Lady cold.Torino team news: Marcelo Larrondo remains the only long-term absentee through injury; the former Siena striker is out with a foot injury. Alessandro Gazzi, Paulo Barreto and Jean-Francois Gillet are all out still through suspension. Ciro Immobile was left out against Hellas as a precaution after a bout of fever, but the Azzurrini striker will be expected to come back into the lineup. Ventura rested several other players midweek in anticipation, so we can expect Omar El Kaddouri, Giuseppe Vives, Kamil Glik and Matteo Brighi to return from the start in the Derby. Lastly, star player Alessio Cerci, who has been struggling with fitness lately, will continue to shake off his knock to inspire the Granata with his scorching-hot formscoring five times in as many games so far this season.Probable lineup: Daniele Padelli; Kamil Glik, Cesare Bovo, Emiliano Moretti; Matteo Darmian, Matteo Brighi, Giuseppe Vives, Omar El Kaddouri, Danilo D'Ambrosio; Alessio Cerci, Ciro Immobile. Juventus team news: Simone Pepe, Martin Caceres and third-choice goalkeeper Rubinho are still out with injury. Doubts remain as to whether Conte will rest players ahead of the Champions League, though. Leonardo Bonucci, Arturo Vidal, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Kwadwo Asamoah and Carlos Tevez were handed rests on their trip to Verona, yet it is not definite that the Bianconeri will field their strongest team here, given the emphasis of the Champions League on their season. It does feel like Conte will be forced to field a strong side, given how hot Roma, Inter, Fiorentina and Napoli have started the season.Probable lineup: Gianluigi Buffon; Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Claudio Marchisio, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Kwadwo Asamoah; Carlos Tevez, Mirko Vucinic.Key Battle: Alessio Cerci vs. Leonardo Bonucci Cerci has started the season in sensational form and is probably the best player in Serie A when carrying the ball at his feet. With electric pace and the ability to keep the ball glued to his boot as he eats up the ground, opponents can rarely keep pace when the former Fiorentina star gets going. Bonucci is adept at reading the game and also possesses speed himself, so it will be crucial to Juve's chances of winning to stifle Toro's danger man. Cerci's form has carried over from last season, and he appears to relish the prominent role he has been handed by Ventura at Toro. With license to roam across the front line and the ability to find his strike partner Immobile from any angle, due to his wand of a left boot, Toro's hopes rest solely on the 26-year-old. A great performance against the champions will surely prompt Cesare Prandelli into considering whether to incorporate Cerci into his starting lineup in the remaining World Cup qualifiers, especially now that the Azzurri are already qualified. When Bonucci steps out from the back to build Juve's play, he will find Cerci snapping at his heels from his role in the hole between the Old Lady's defence and midfield. If Cerci can unsettle Bonucci when Juve have possession and disrupt the flow of his distribution, Torino stand a chance of creating an upset.http://www.goal.com/en/results-standings/69/italy-serie-a/table?ICID=SP_TN_111 Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti
