Transfer Predictor: Fernando Llorente

The Juventus striker may be ousted in Turin by new signing Mario Mandzukic but his
combination of aerial strength and goalscoring prowess has interested a number of clubs.

Jul 15, 2015

Fernando Llorente was restricted to a bit-part role at Juventus last season and failed to hit double figures in goals in all competitions for only the second time in eight seasons.

The arrival of Mario Mandzukic will further limit his opportunities in Turin and it seems likely that last month’s Champions League final, in which Llorente appeared as a late substitute, will prove his last game in black and white stripes.

Plenty of clubs across Europe are said to be interested. The 30-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League when he left Athletic Club and once again, Tottenham and Liverpool are among the teams reportedly eyeing his signature.

Is Llorente part of your Transfer Predictor starting XI? Goal examines the options the Spain international could be weighing up.

LIVERPOOL

Liverpool sorely lacked attacking firepower last season following the departure of Luis Suarez.

A fully fit Daniel Sturridge and newcomer Danny Ings should improve the situation but Brendan Rodgers is likely to be in the market for further reinforcements, and has money to spend.

Llorente is a proven goalscorer and would add experience to a young side but does not seem to be a natural fit for the Rodgers mould – fellow target men Andy Carroll and Lambert have not fared well at Anfield in recent seasons.

That said, Llorente had the best season of his career – scoring 29 goals – under the very progressive Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic, providing astute hold-up play and taking advantage of the service provided by the quicker, creative midfielders behind him.

TOTTENHAM

Harry Kane is and will remain Tottenham’s clear first-choice striker but Mauricio Pochettino must hope to have more depth and options at his disposal in attack this season.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado contributed little in 2014-15 and Spurs will likely show both the door if any kind of reasonable offer arrives.

Pochettino will have been disappointed to miss out on Ings, who, as a young, improving English player fits their recruitment philosophy, but Llorente could be an affordable, capable stop-gap.

The Spaniard could partner Kane or lead the line alone in the academy product’s absence and would be a dangerous weapon to use from the bench.

REAL MADRID

With all eyes on David de Gea, Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, there has been unusually little talk of Real Madrid’s attempts to strengthen their forward line.

Karim Benzema looks likely to stay in Spain and it has been suggested Cristiano Ronaldo could move to more of a central striking position this season.

There is still room for more depth, however; Javier Hernandez was brought in from Manchester United as cover last season and Madrid were linked to Robin van Persie and Falcao for a similar role.

Llorente could tick that box – the question is whether he would find such a move attractive.

Hernandez started only seven league games for Madrid last season and has fallen off the radar of Europe’s top clubs due to the lack of match action.

On the other hand, Llorente could be attracted by the prospect of moving back to Spain and there is no better move he could realistically make in search of silverware.

Llorente Set To Return To Spain

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/juventus-striker-set-to-return-to-spain/?

Jul 19, 2015

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente looks set to move to Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri forward looks to be surplus to requirements next season following the recent arrivals of Simone Zaza, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic to the Juventus Stadium and could seek more playing time elsewhere, and a return to Spain looks the most likely option.

Tuttosport reports that Los Blancos are keen on bringing in the 30-year-old as a replacement for Karim Benzema, whose days at the Santiago Bernabeu appear numbered. The deal between both parties is expected to be completed over the coming seven days.

Llorente moved to Italy from Spanish La Liga club Athletic Bilbao in 2013 and has scored 27 goals in 90 games with La Vecchia Signora, as well as winning the Serie A twice and the Coppa Italia during his time in Turin.

Man Utd look at Llorente

http://www.football-italia.net/69525/man-utd-look-llorente?

Jul 21, 2015

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente is of interest to Real Madrid, but now Manchester United are linked with a swoop.

The Spain international joined Juve as a free agent two years ago, scoring 27 goals in 90 competitive games.

Rafa Benitez has requested Llorente as a potential transfer target for the summer.

Now the Daily Mirror claims that Manchester United are in negotiations for the 30-year-old.

Louis van Gaal told reporters during his pre-season tour of the United States that he is looking to sign a new centre-forward.

Llorente is surplus to requirements following the arrival of Simone Zaza, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala.

Juve still hope to get around €12m for the forward who stands at 1.95m tall.

Llorente no Man Utd, just Madrid

http://www.football-italia.net/69576/llorente-no-man-utd-just-madrid?

Jul 22, 2015

According to Italian reports, Juventus striker Fernando Llorente will reject Manchester United, as he wants Real Madrid.

The Spanish forward is on the exit list in Turin following the arrival of Mario Mandzukic, Simone Zaza and Paulo Dybala.

The Daily Mirror claim that Manchester United have been working on a bid for the tall centre-forward for some time.

However, Sport Mediaset insist Llorente is prepared to turn down Manchester United because he is determined to join Real Madrid.

It would be a return to La Liga for the hitman, who joined Juve as a free agent from Athletic Bilbao two years ago.

Betting Special: Will Llorente be
Van Gaal's surprise striker?

The Manchester United boss sent the rumour mill into overdrive after hinting
at an attacking arrival, and the out-of-favour Juventus man is first on the list.

http://www.goal.com/en-za/news/4563/main/2015/07/23/13823472/-?

Jul 23, 2015

Despite pouring cold water on rumours that his "surprise" signing is set to be a striker, many still expect Louis van Gaal to bring in more firepower before the end of the transfer window.

Having lost Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao already this summer and with Javier Hernandez's future unclear, it would seem surprising should Manchester United start the season with just James Wilson and Memphis Depay to cover for Wayne Rooney in attack.

William Hill certainly seem far from convinced, with Fernando Llorente priced at just to move to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.

Seemingly on his way out of Juventus after falling out of favour in Turin, the Spain international has been widely pinpointed as Van Gaal's mystery target.

However, with the Red Devils reportedly in advanced negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Angel Di Maria, a swap deal involving one of their high-profile front men could suit all parties.

While Edinson Cavani is generally seen as the man most likely to leave the Parc des Princes after growing tired of living in Zlatan Ibrahimovic's shadow, both he and the big Swede are on offer at the same odds to relocate to Old Trafford.

After previously admitting that he was "flattered" to be linked with United, rising star Harry Kane is available at to make what would surely be a big-money move on the back of his breakthrough campaign last season.

Consistently linked with a move away from Napoli, Gonzalo Higuain is also available at , as is Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who played under Van Gaal for the Netherlands national side.

While more up-and-coming players such as Saido Berahino or Alexandre Lacazette may better fit the profile as understudy to Rooney, the Old Trafford faithful will be praying that the manager's cagey approach is really a cover-up for the shock return of Cristiano Ronaldo .

Arsenal join Llorente chase

http://www.football-italia.net/69618/arsenal-join-llorente-chase?

Jul 23, 2015

Tuttosport claim Arsenal are in pole position for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, ahead of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri hope his sale can generate €12m, a huge profit considering he arrived as a free agent from Athletic Bilbao only two years ago.

Manchester United have set their sights on the Spaniard, but all reports suggest he is not enthusiastic about the idea.

Now Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport suggest Arsenal are leading the race for Llorente.

His favoured destination is Real Madrid, but they do not consider him a priority.

Also interested to some degree are Porto and Barcelona.

Arsenal Have Offer For Llorente Rejected

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/arsenal-have-offer-for-juventus-striker-rejected/?

Jul 24, 2015

Following on from yesterday’s report that English Premier League side Arsenal have been monitoring Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, it now appears that the London-based outfit have made a bid to sign the Spanish centre forward.

The former Athletic Bilbao forward looks surplus to requirements in Turin, as the likes of Alvaro Morata, Simone Zaza, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic are likely to be the preferred options of coach Massimiliano Allegri.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are ready to offer €10 million to bring the centre forward to England, though Juventus are holding out for something in the region of €12-15 million.

However, with the striker’s contract up at the end of 2017 and with the Bianconeri looking for funds to secure other targets, it is possible that the Gunners could get their man at the lower figure.

Llorente signed for Juventus back in 2013 and has averaged just under a goal every three games for the Serie A giants.

Arsenal step up for Llorente

http://www.football-italia.net/69673/arsenal-step-llorente?

Jul 25, 2015

After Italian papers, now the English media also report Arsenal are in talks with Juventus for Fernando Llorente.

Although there is interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, Tuttosport claimed on Thursday that the Gunners were in pole position.

Now The Sun also points to negotiations for the €12m-rated striker as an alternative to Karim Benzema on the transfer market.

Llorente arrived in Turin as a free agent from Athletic Bilbao two years ago, scoring nine goals in 45 appearances last season.

The 30-year-old is valued at €12m (£8.4m), but Arsenal’s proposal is currently £8m.

Llorente is surplus to requirements at Juventus after Mario Mandzukic, Simone Zaza and Paulo Dybala signed on this summer.

FERNANDO LLORENTE CLOSE TO JUVE DEPARTURE

http://www.juvefc.com/fernando-llorente-close-to-juve-departure/?

Jul 28, 2015

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente looks ever closer to leaving the club with Arsenal and Spurs linked with a move for the Spaniard.

Llorente has become the forgotten man this summer as Juve signed no fewer than three new forwards. The arrivals of Simone Zaza, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala mean that it’s almost certain that ‘El Rey Leon’ will be the next big departure from the club.

La Stampa reported that Llorente’s agent was in London yesterday to meet with Arsenal and Spurs over a possible transfer.

UK newspapers The Daily Express and The Telegraph believe that a move could be agreed with the Gunners, who currently lead the race to sign the striker, for a fee believed to be around the £8.5 million mark.

Llorente managed just 7 goals and struggled to make an impact last season, where he was eventually dropped in favour of Alvaro Morata.

Fernando Llorente to Arsenal: Juventus striker's agent 'holds talks' with Gunners

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/fernando-llorente-to-arsenal-strikers-agent-holds-talks-with-gunners-10426818.html

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente's agent held talks with Arsenal on Tuesday, according to reports in Italy.

Tuttosport have reported that the striker will be leaving Juve this summer, with Real Madrid, in addition to the Gunners, interested. The Italian newspaper have claimed that Llorente's representative has met with Arsenal officials.

The Spain international Llorente, 30, moved to Juve from Athletic Bilbao in 2013, and has scored 23 goals in 65 Serie A appearances for the Italian side.

Llorenete had spent nine seasons at Bilbao before the move.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger had said this week that he is still looking to strengthen the Arsenal squad.

"We know we will be better but it's difficult to know how much our opponents will improve before the season.

"If we can still strengthen, we will do it."

The Gunners have also been linked a £40m move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, however reports that he was on a private jet to London this week proved wide of the mark - he is still with Real's squad on their pre-season tour of Australia.

Jul 30, 2015

The agent of Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has reportedly flown to London to talk with Arsenal about a possible move.

The Spain international appears likely to leave the Old Lady this summer following the arrival of forwards Paul Dybala, Simone Zaza and Mario Mandzukic.

Corriere dello Sport has reported today that the 30-year-old’s agent flew to London on Tuesday in order to try and finalise a deal with the Arsenal hierarchy.

The Bianconeri are believed to want €12m for the forward, who has also been linked with Monaco, Porto, Tottenham and Real Madrid.

Juventus Set €12 Million Asking Price For Fernando Llorente

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/07/juventus-set-e12-million-asking-price-for-fernando-llorente/?

Jul 31, 2015

Serie A champions Juventus have set an asking price around €12 millions for attacker Fernando Llorente.

The former Athletic Bilbao talisman joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2013 and has since scored 27 goals in 90 appearances in all competitions for the Old Lady.

Nevertheless, Tuttosport reports that Juventus have valued the 30-year-old striker between 10 to 12 million euros, but have acknowledged the likelihood that a bid anywhere in between 7 and 8 millions euros could be enough to see the Spanish international depart the Turin club.

This latest news comes as Corriere dello Sport reports that Llorente’s agent travelled to London to discuss a potential €12 million move to Arsenal.

The North London outfit are reportedly in the market for a new forward, although the 30-year-old striker is said to prefer to move to Real Madrid, with coach Rafael Benitez said to be in the striker.

With Llorente’s future at Juventus uncertain, Sevilla, Manchester United and Stoke City are also reportedly vying for the striker’s signature.

Juventus Striker On Sevilla Radar

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/juventus-striker-on-sevilla-radar/?

Aug 1, 2015

Spanish club Sevilla are reportedly interested in Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, as an impending exit for the 30-year-old gathers pace.

The Spaniard has spent two seasons with the Bianconeri, winning two Serie A titles, but looks let to leave Italy in search of a new club.

Reports coming from Sky Sport Italia suggest a La Liga side in the shape of Sevilla could be his next destination.

The current Europa League holders are looking for a new man to partner forward Kevin Gamiero following the exit of Carlos Bacca to AC Milan and the injury that had occurred to Ciro Immobile during a pre-season friendly with Watford.

No current negotiations between the clubs have been made public, so current potential suitors such as Manchester United and Arsenal, are both leading the way to acquire his signature.

Llorente has featured in 65 league games for Juventus, scoring a total of 23 goals since arriving in 2013.

Sevilla, Stoke and Palace for Llorente

http://www.football-italia.net/70447/sevilla-stoke-and-palace-llorente?

Aug 2, 2015

Sevilla, Crystal Palace and Stoke City joined the race for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish forward is on the market for €12m after the arrival of Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sevilla are the latest club to show an interest in Llorente for this season.

A return to La Liga would help him to feel at home, two years after he left Athletic Bilbao as a free agent.

Europa League winners Sevilla have already reinforced their front line with Ciro Immobile on loan from Borussia Dortmund, having sold Carlos Bacca to Milan.

Today the Sunday Express claims Crystal Palace and Stoke City have also joined the race for Llorente, the latter having failed to snatch Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter.

There’s a growing list of pretenders, adding to existing interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Monaco.

Llorente is currently nursing an ankle problem and could well be left out of Juve’s Italian Super Cup squad against Lazio in Shanghai.

Sevilla should sign Fernando Llorente, says Vitolo

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2551000/sevilla-should-sign-juventus-fernando-llorente-says-vitolo?

Aug 6, 2015

Sevilla winger Vitolo says he would welcome his club moving to sign Spain international centre-forward Fernando Llorente from Juventus this summer.

Llorente is expected to leave Juve over the coming weeks after the Serie A club have strengthened up top by bringing in Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid, Simone Zaza from Sassuolo and Paulo Dybala from Palermo.

An injury to last season's first choice centre-forward Alvaro Morata does complicate matters, but the powerful former Athletic Bilbao player, now aged 30, could still be allowed to leave for a fee of around €12 million.

According to Marca, Llorente, who earns about €4.5 million a year on a contract which runs until June 2017, would only be offered about half that amount per annum by Sevilla.

The La Liga club are also apparently considering a move for their former player Alvaro Negredo, who earlier this summer completed a move from Manchester City to Valencia, but is not sure to stay at Mestalla next season.

Speaking to Estadio Deportivo, Vitolo said he would be happy to have Llorente, who was a member of Spain's World Cup 2010 winning squad, as a new teammate.

"We all know him, he is a great player, has been with the Spain team for many years," he said. "He will would be a top signing for us. All those who come in to help out are welcome, we would all be happy."

This summer has as usual seen plenty of comings and goings as Sevilla balance their delicate finances with the requirements of Champions League football next year.

The 2015 Europa League final hero Carlos Bacca has joined AC Milan for €30 million (although investment group Doyen Sports were likely involved in that deal), and versatile right-sided player Aleix Vidal has moved to Barcelona for around €20 million.

Yevhen Konoplyanka (Dnipro), Ciro Immobile (Borussia Dortmund), Gael Kakuta (Chelsea) and Stephane N'Zonzi (Stoke) are among the new signings, although the club's canny sporting director Monchi is thought to not yet be finished tweaking his squad.

Juventus unable to reach agreement
with Sevilla for Llorente

EXCLUSIVE: The Bianconeri want at least €12 million for the Spaniard, who has two years
left on his lucrative contract, but the Rojiblancos are only offering half that figure.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/596/exclusive/2015/08/07/14247272/-?

Aug 7, 2015

By Romeo Agresti & Paco Rico

Juventus have been frustrated in their attempts to agree a deal with Sevilla for the departure of striker Fernando Llorente.

The Spain international joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao in 2013 and still has two years to run on his contract with the Old Lady.

However, although Llorente formed a formidable partnership with Carlos Tevez during his first season in Turin, he lost his place in the starting line-up to Alvaro Morata last term.

Although Tevez has departed for Boca Junions, Llorente has fallen further down the pecking order this summer, following the arrivals of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Simone Zaza.

Consequently, Juve want to cash in on the 30-year-old attacker before the close of the transfer window on August 31.

The Bianconeri have set the asking price at €15 million but would be willing to accept €12m for a player that they are keen to remove from their wage bill, given he is currently earning €4.5m after tax.

Sevilla are interested in bringing Llorente back to Spain but the problem is the fee, with the Rojiblancos reluctant to pay more than €7m for the forward.

The Liga outfit would also require the target man to reduce his wage demands to around €3m per annum in order to make the deal happen.

As a result, the proposed transfer has reached an impasse, with Juve now hoping that other interested parties step forward for Llorente, who has already rejected advances from German and Turkish clubs.

Sevilla will wait for Llorente - Castro

The club president insists they have plenty of time to sign the striker
from Juventus and is looking forward to the Uefa Super Cup match with Barcelona.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2015/08/11/14337612/sevilla-will-wait-for-llorente-castro?ICID=TP_HN_1

Aug 11, 2015

Sevilla president Jose Castro says the club must be patient as they try to lure Fernando Llorente away from Juventus.

The Spanish striker has been linked with a move away from Turin after a disappointing 2014-15 campaign.

The arrivals of Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala mean he is expected to find playing time hard to come by this term and Sevilla have already shown an interest.

However, the club chief insists there is still plenty of time left before the transfer window closes and they are willing to wait to get their man.

"As long as the market is open and there are opportunities to exploit, we will be there," he told Marca.

"If Unai Emery asks for some players, we will intervene to try to please him. With Llorente, we must still have patience.

"Just now we prefer to think about the big Uefa Super Cup game against Barcelona."

Sevilla are looking to build on last year's Europa League win by beating Champions League holders Barca in Tbilisi on Tuesday.

Bilbao return for Juve's Llorente?

http://www.football-italia.net/70909/bilbao-return-juves-llorente

Aug 12, 2015

Home club Athletic Bilbao is rumoured to have joined the race for Juventus' Fernando Llorente, competing with Sevilla.

The striker was linked with a variety of major clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal.

But it seems his destination could be substantially more modest, as Tuttomercatoweb reports of an interest by his home club Athletic Bilbao.

Llorente was purchased from Bilbao two years ago, and could return there if the club can beat Sevilla's competition.

Llorente agrees Sevilla deal

http://www.football-italia.net/70945/report-llorente-agrees-sevilla-deal?

Aug 12, 2015

Reports in Spain suggest Fernando Llorente has agreed a deal with Sevilla, but Juventus must lower their asking price.

The striker is believed to be on the unwanted list in Turin, with the arrival of Simone Zaza, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala likely to limit his playing time.

Cadena Cope reports that the 30-year-old has agreed a deal in principle with Sevilla, who are seeking to strengthen their squad for the forthcoming Champions League campaign.

However, it’s thought Los Rojiblancos will need Juventus to lower their €12m asking price, as they are only in a position to offer €8m.

Both would represent a profit for the Bianconeri, who signed Llorente on a free transfer from Athletic Club in 2013.

Sevilla To Rival Real Madrid For Llorente

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/sevilla-to-rival-real-madrid-for-juventus-striker/?

Aug 15, 2015

Europa League holders Sevilla are trying to fend off Real Madrid as they look to secure the signing of Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.

The Spanish forward has been the subject of a move away from the Bianconeri for the majority of the summer and has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe, but it is now Sevilla who are trying to close out a deal for the 30-year-old.

The Andalusians are hopeful of coming to an agreement for the former Athletic Bilbao striker but may struggle to fend off interest from Madrid who are still mulling over whether to make an offer to The Old Lady themselves.

Los Rojiblancos would prefer to take Llorente on an initial loan deal for a fee of around €3 million with an agreement to make the deal permanent at the end of next season, but Madrid could comfortably afford to buy the forward outright for around €12m immediately.

Unai Emery can offer the Spaniard a place in the Sevilla first team, whereas Los Blancos would ideally intend for Llorente to provide back-up to French striker Karim Benzema.

Fernando Llorente linked with
a move to Real Madrid again

http://www.blackwhitereadallover.com/2015/8/16/9161079/fernando-llorente-juventus-real-madrid-serie-a-la-liga-summer-transfer-rumors-2015

Aug 16, 2015

As much as it sucks to type this next sentence, it needs to be done: Fernando Llorente's future doesn't involve playing for Juventus. Yes, it's true. That's just what happens when you bring in three strikers to add to the three that are already in town while only seeing two — Carlos Tévez and Alessandro Matri — head out the door.

That leaves six strikers for five spots. And while he's the consummate professional throughout his two seasons in a Juventus jersey, simple math likely won't equate another year of being on the top team Italy has to offer.

The Llorente-to-Real Madrid rumor is nothing new. But, according to Marca on Sunday, Rafa Benitez is seeking reinforcements in both the center of the midfield as well as at striker — and it's the good-looking striker we pretend Abba is singing about. (Can you hear the drums, Fernando? I remember another starry night like this. In the firelight Fernando...)

But we are not here to sing! So enough of that.

If he does indeed join Real Madrid, Llorente would essentially become what he was after Álvaro Morata became a regular starter last season. We've heard about other clubs being interested in Llorente — Tottenham, Sevilla, Manchester United and, most recently, his former club Athletic Bilbao earlier this week — but Real Madrid have been arguably the most consistent team linked to the big Spanish striker for the simple reason as he's surplus in Turin and could fill a need with Los Blancos.

It all makes sense, doesn't it?

Llorente is not going to demand a huge transfer fee. And seeing him depart will see Juventus' wage bill decrease (as well as the team's standing on Serie A's best-looking players list). But it's pretty clear that Juve need to get down to five strikers and Real Madrid seeks some semblance of depth up front before the transfer window closes.

Llorente Too Costly for Sevilla

http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2015/08/juventus-forward-too-costly-for-sevilla/?

Aug 18, 2015

Sevilla look increasingly unlikely to land Juventus forward Fernando Llorente as the Spanish outfit cannot afford to meet the demands of the player.

Llorente has long been linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer and the club have a set a €12 million asking price for the 30-year-old. Sevilla are just the latest side to have been keen on the Juventus number 14, following the likes of Arsenal and Monaco but now seem set to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Despite all the ruours no contact was ever made between the Rojiblancos and Juventus for Llorente, according to Marca, however the striker’s wage demands would have been too high for the Europa League Champions. Instead, the club will seek to re-sign Alvaro Negredo from Valencia, although this too will be highly unlikely due to the numbers involved.

The former Athletic Club forward enjoyed a successful first season in Serie A, scoring 16 goals but found the following season more tricky, registering just seven league goals.

Llorente to Sevilla today?

Spanish reports suggest Fernando Llorente could complete his move from Juventus to Sevilla today.

Diario de Sevilla writes that a deal is likely to be completed today, barring any last-minute hitches in negotiations between the clubs.

However, the two clubs are believed to have agreed a deal in which the striker heads to Andalucia on loan, with the La Liga outfit paying the entirety of his €4.5m per season salary.

The Bianconeri are believed to prefer an outright sale to a loan, but the absence of such an offer will reportedly encourage director general Giuseppe Marotta to agree to a loan.

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente may not leave Turin just yet as Sevilla have found a new target in Andy Carroll.

The former Athletic Club striker had been linked with a return back to Spain with the Andalusians as the Rojiblancos are looking for a new forward to complement Kevin Gameiro and Ciro Immobile.

According to English newspaper The Times, due to difficulties in negotiations with the Bianconeri, Los Nervionenses have started looking for another option and have identified Carroll.

The Times also claim Sevilla have asked whether the England international is available for sale.

The 26-year-old joined West Ham United in 2012 initially on loan but then made his move permanent in 2013 and since then has made 51 league appearances scoring 14 goals.

However, during the last two seasons he has suffered a number of major injuries.

Llorente stays, Zaza goes?

Fernando Llorente could be staying at Juventus and Simone Zaza heading out on loan, according to reports.

The Spaniard has been linked with an exit from Turin this summer, but Tuttosport have reported today that none of the interested parties have fronted the desired €10m offer.

The paper believes this means he is now likely to stay with the Old Lady, but that summer signing Zaza could head out on loan.

The club have reportedly received several offers for the former Sassuolo man, who is believed to not have convinced Coach Massimiliano Allegri in the off-season.

Meanwhile, Juan Cuadrado appears set to complete his loan move from Chelsea today, with a €1.5m loan fee believed to have been agreed and a medical set for today.
