Juventus attacker Mirko Vucinic has tempered expectations at the Turin giants in the aftermath of their 2-0 home win over AC Milan in Sunday evening's Serie A match.

Antonio Conte's side sit joint first in the table following the weekend's results, with 11 points from five games, but Vucinic is not getting carried away and has stressed that it is still too soon to talk about lifting the title.

"Winning the Scudetto? I'm keeping my feet on the ground. We are aware of our strength and we're top of the table now. However, it won't be easy to stay up there," he told Tuttosport.

Vucinic then stated that he was pleased with his display against Milan and underlined the significance of the win.

"I felt very well out there, especially after the final whistle. We will celebrate this important victory."

Gianluigi Buffon has compared Antonio Conte's Juventus to the sides built by Marcello Lippi in the 1990s and Fabio Capello in the following decade, as he feels the Turin giants have the potential to fight for major trophies again.

Juventus sit joint first in the Serie A table after beating AC Milan 2-0 in Sunday evening's league encounter at the Juventus Stadium, and Buffon is convinced that the club is on the right track again under Conte.

"This Juve is in the process of becoming a team of value, just like that of Marcello Lippi and Fabio Capello. Everyone assumed those teams would fight for the title and could win the Champions League," he declared to Tuttosport.

"We're a good team that's capable of fighting for top honours again. We're on the right track."

Juventus had to settle for seventh spot in the Serie A table in the past two seasons, but they are desperate to challenge for the Scudetto again this term and secured the services of players such as Andrea Pirlo, Mirko Vucinic and Eljero Elia in order to do that.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio believes his side have what it takes to challenge for the Serie A title in the wake of their 2-0 home win over AC Milan on Sunday.

Antonio Conte's men picked up the full three points courtesy of a brace from Marchisio at the Juventus Stadium and now sit joint top in Serie A with Udinese after five games.

"It was a great match and an important victory. We now have two weeks to train hard [during the international break] and work toward the Scudetto," the 25-year-old was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.

"I've got belief, as we had belief in the team's championship prospects at the beginning of the season.

"I am happy for the goals, but more importantly with the victory. We wanted to stay ahead of Milan and Inter and we did it."

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has voiced his delight with the 2-0 victory over AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday evening.

The 42-year-old was full of praise for his players following the important win at the Juventus Stadium and stressed that his squad have what it takes to become champions.

"To win these games, you must win as a team. This year, the good players have to be champions. We have players who can learn to be champions," Conte told Tuttosport.

The former Juve captain tempered his praise with words of advice for his men in the coming weeks, urging them to be humble and never to forget the failures of last season.

"It is too early to lose the humility which reminds us that last season we finished in seventh place. If we had failed [to remember to be humble] we would have been massacred by Milan."

Juventus will look to maintain their unbeaten start to the Serie A season when they face Chievo after the international break.

Marcello Lippi has said former clubs Juventus and Napoli are good value for winning the Serie A title this season.

Both teams signalled their Scudetto intentions over the weekend and held the two Milanese giants at their mercy.

Napoli beat Inter 3-0 on Saturday while Juventus brushed aside AC Milan 2-0 on Sunday.

"I think Juventus and Napoli will both fight to win the title this season," Lippi told Ansa.

"However, Milan, Inter and Udinese are also there. Udinese never cease to amaze me."

Lippi went on to speak about Roma who clicked into gear with a 3-1 win over Atalanta on Saturday.

"Roma have an excellent project and champions like Daniele De Rossi and Francesco Totti."

Juventus are joint top of the league with Udinese, one point ahead of Napoli.

Luciano Moggi has been highly critical of AC Milan's performance in their 2-0 loss to Juventus on Sunday night, stating that the Serie A champions did nothing more than run after their hosts for 90 minutes.

A late double from Claudio Marchisio proved to be the difference between the teams on the night, but the former Juve general director feels that there was more to the game than that.

"I saw a team that did more running than playing," Moggi told Il Sussidiario. "Milan did nothing, and so the result was inevitable."

The 74-year-old then spoke about Inter's 3-0 loss to Napoli, which saw referee Gianluca Rocchi come under heavy fire after wrongly sending off Joel Obi and awarding the visitors a questionable penalty at San Siro.

"Rocchi got it all wrong. He made a mistake with Joel Obi and then again on the penalty," Moggi said.

As a result of their poor start to the season, Inter currently sit 17th in Serie A, one point off the relegation zone.

Fiat president John Elkann has praised the level of Juventus' progress in Serie A so far this term but said they must continue working hard in order to win some silverware.

A 2-0 victory over AC Milan on Sunday saw the Turin-based side get back to the top of the table alongside Udinese.

Pundits have tipped Antonio Conte's men as favourites to finish the campaign at the summit but Elkann feels that such title talk is premature.

"The game against Milan on Sunday was really good, but like Conte said, there is still a long way to go," Elkann is quoted as saying by La Repubblica.

Elkann went on to state that Napoli have a realistic chance of winning the Scudetto.

"The Milanese clubs favourites? Napoli are not doing bad at all are they?"

Juventus take on Chievo in Verona following the international break.
