Looking forward to my visit to Turin but would like a little help please. What is the best way to get from the airport to Via A. Bonafous 5 and what is the best way to get to the ground for the game and how much time should we allow?

From the airport you have to take the train. The only direction of this train is turin center. 19 min and you'll be in Turin at the Dora station. Here you have to take the bus "dora fly" and you'll arrive in via san tommaso (15min). In the end you can walk (1km) and watch the city center or take the bus 56 to piazza vittorio!

Instead to go at the stadium you have to take the bus 72 or 3.

Juve recognizes Notts County's 108-year-old gesture

Juventus could have opened their new stadium against almost anybody in the world, but instead they opted to invite Notts County to Turin.

By DPA

There are still, even in the rampantly commercial world of modern soccer, moments when history outweighs financial considerations.

Juventus could have opened their new stadium against almost anybody in the world, but instead they opted to invite Notts County to Turin. The reason is simple: In 1903, Juventus were looking to replace their kit of pink shirts and a black tie, feeling they had faded to shabbiness. They asked one of their members, John Savage, an Englishman, if he had any contacts back home who could supply a new kit. He got in touch with a friend in Nottingham who, being a fan of Notts County, sent shirts in County's black-and-white striped colors.

Juventus has worn the colors ever since and has asked County to play at the opening of the Juventus Arena as a mark of their gratitude for that gesture. In tomorrow's friendly, Juventus will wear pink in the first half with County in black-and-white; in the second Juve will play in black-and-white with County in an all-white strip.

"It's surreal. It's going to be a magical occasion," said County manager Martin Allen. "We've got to maximize the opportunity to play against one of the most famous football clubs in the world."

He admits that when the chairman Ray Trew first approached him about the game, he assumed it was a joke. "When I first took the call from the chairman - just as I suppose most people are - I was shocked. I thought it might have been a bit of a wind-up. But then I could quickly tell from the tone of his voice that he was serious, that the offer was there."

County have a League One game against Walsall two days later, which suggests how far the club has fallen since its glory days. It is the oldest league club and the oldest professional club in the world, having been founded in 1862, but despite its age has never been a giant of the game. It won the FA Cup in 1894, becoming the first Second Division side to win the competition, but after relegation in 1926 it remained outside the top flight for over 50 years. It is 19 years since they last played in the top-flight.

"Of course there was a concern about the Walsall game in my mind but having spoken with the chairman and the players, it's a must," said Allen.
