Mar 8, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli held a meeting with England head coach Fabio Capello to discuss who should be given the reigns to the Bianconeri throne and become coach at the end of the season. Sky Sport Italia reports that Agnelli and Capello met on Tuesday with the 64-year-old being asked his opinion on who should replace Luigi Del Neri in the summer. Juventus' campaign has collapsed since January with the Old Lady struggling for even a top-six finish in Serie A at the moment, and it's been reported that Del Neri will be let go at the end of the current campaign. However, Capello himself will not replace Del Neri in the Juventus hotseat as he has already made his commitment to coach the England national football team at the Euro 2012 finals. The former Roma, Juve and Milan tactician is one of many football coaches and experts who are and will be consulted by Agnelli in order for the club to decide the best option. Former Juventus striker Gianluca Vialli has been tipped in some quarters to coach the former Italian and European champions and he himself has expressed his willingness to take the job should it be offered to him. May 12, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has marked the spot of where it's all gone wrong as he expresses his dissatisfaction following a less than perfect season. Luigi Del Neri's first venture in charge has not gone according to plan. Agnelli was expecting a turning point this term following last year's failures, but the Turin giants continue to struggle. However, he is fed up with the seesawing fortunes. "I am used to giving my judgment at the end of season. Evaluating now is not nice or right," he told the press. "I am first to say, like all the Juve fans, we are far from satisfied. But, we know what job we had to do this year and it started from the obscure. "Del Neri's work has been excellent on the pitch. He has great values and I admire him a lot." Juventus are currently seventh in Serie A following Monday's 2-2 draw against Chievo. May 22, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has expressed his frustration with the Italian Football Federation's (Figc) reluctance to respond to their request to return the two Scudetto titles that were taken away from them in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal. Figc stripped Juve of their 2005 and 2006 crowns because of their involvement in the scandal, but the Turin side asked for the honours to be returned in October 2010 as new evidence showed that Inter were also involved in the affair. "If the FIGC takes more than a year to respond to our considerations, then maybe they don't have a clear conscience," Agnelli revealed on his official Twitter account. The 2005 Scudetto was taken away from Juventus, but not awarded to another team, while the 2006 title eventually went to Inter, much to the dismay of Agnelli. Agnelli told an annual general meeting of the Turin giants last year: "We have requested the 2006 Scudetto be revoked from Inter and we have had sufficient guarantees from the federation that we will shortly have an answer, which we await with confidence." Jul 7, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has voiced his opinion that the Turin side don't receive the respect they deserve from the Italian Football Federation (Figc). The Serie A giants recently submitted a petition to the Figc requesting that the 2005-06 Scudetto that was assigned to Inter following Juventus' involvement in the Calciopoli scandal be revoked, and Agnell is far from happy with the way they've been treated in the wake of their request, given recent developments that suggest that Inter were also culpable. "After 15 months from the petition submitted to Figc, I want respect from the authorities, towards Juventus, their managers, players and fans. This club participated in the history of Italian football and of Italian football in the world. This team provided 27 players out of 44 in the four World Cup finals," the supremo was quoted as saying on the club's official website. "In 2006, we were the only club to suffer from serious economical damages, discernible in various hundreds of millions of Euros. Now we noticed that the other clubs, especially Inter, had unclear behaviours." Agnelli went on to say that Juventus are eagerly anticipating the Figc's final decision on the matter. Jul 27, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has voiced his belief that Italian football has fallen behind in recent years and has blamed the poor state of stadiums throughout the country for Serie A's demise. Italy currently hold four Champions League places, but will lose their fourth spot to Germany in 2012-13, while the world's biggest stars have been reluctant to move to Serie A in the past couple of seasons. "To be candid about Serie A, we are certainly not where we want to be today. It certainly has to do with the facilities," Agnelli said to New York Times. "All the stadiums are obsolete. We have a lot of violence, we still have police around the stadium, so it is not very friendly." Agnelli then went on to express his pride that Juventus will soon open their new stadium, the first ground in Italy built with private funds. He continued: "It is a point of pride to be the first private owners of a fully modern facility to hold games and be open seven days a week for commercial purposes. "On the other hand, our competitors are international ones, and it is an element to fill an important gap as a revenue source." The Juventus supremo also took the time to discuss the Calciopoli scandal and reiterated that the Turin side will do whatever it takes to get back their 2005 and 2006 Scudetti. "Back in 2006, we had a very quick sporting verdict. I think it is important for every sports agency to remain within the sport jurisdiction. But the recent facts from the federation brought out that other teams had carried out similar practices in those days. "We have to make sure we have equal treatment for everybody, and if we cannot have equal treatment, we will look outside the sport for equal treatment." The Italian FA (FIGC) decided last Monday there were no legal grounds to revoke the title from Inter because of a statute of limitations preventing them from doing so. Aug 10, 2011 Juventus president Andrea Agnelli is set to take the club's case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in an attempt to get the 2006 Scudetto reinstated. Last month the Italian FA (FIGC) ruled there were no legal grounds to revoke the hotly-debated Scudetto from Inter and hand it back to Juventus who were stripped of the title in 2006 following the Calciopoli scandal. Juventus' appeal was based on the Calciopoli 2 proceedings at the Tribunal of Naples and they tried to show from evidence that has emerged in court that Inter were also involved in Calciopoli, having contacts with referees and designators at the time of the scandal. Despite the FIGC's decision, Agnelli will not concede defeat, and maintains his club have every right to fight through all the legal avenues. "The system which punished Juventus was incompetent. We have been speaking with our legal team and we will be ready to present our case to the CAS so we can get those titles reassigned," Agnelli told the press. "We will adopt the following measures by going to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), the Attorney General at the Court of Auditors, the Rome prefect office, CONI Delegate of management Control and the Uefa Executive Committee. "We won the Scudetto on the pitch in 2006 with 91 points and then another club [inter] saw it handed to them on a table." Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Aug 11, 2011 Inter president Massimo Moratti has advised Juventus supremo Andrea Agnelli to "go on holiday and relax" rather than worry about the 2006 Scudetto. Agnelli revealed on Wednesday that Juventus are set to take the club's case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in an attempt to get their 2006 Serie A title reinstated. Last month the Italian FA (FIGC) ruled there were no legal grounds to revoke the hotly-debated Scudetto from Inter and hand it back to the Turin giants. Agnelli isn't giving up and is taking legal action, but Moratti was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport: "There's nothing more to say about the 2006 Scudetto. Agnelli? He ought to go on holiday and relax a bit." FIGC president Giancarlo Abete was equally coy on the situation, and stated that he would prefer to focus on the national side, who recorded a confident 2-1 win over world champions Spain on Wednesday night. Abete stated: "I respect Juventus' decision to take legal action, but I'm focused on the national team for now." Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) President Gianni Petrucci noted clubs should not attempt “doping of the law” by going beyond the sporting justice system to seek damages, prompting Agnelli to hold this evening’s conference. “I heard President Petrucci’s statements and in my view he was explicitly referring to Juventus,” snapped Agnelli. “The country is in a delicate phase right now and everyone should do their own job. I am very proud to be the President of Juventus, so that means I must defend the club’s interests. “Juventus have always respected the rules and intend to continue doing so. The trial of 2006 lasted four months, while to get an answer now we have to wait for 14 months. “This matter cannot help but become political, seeing as the Federal Counsel decided it could not make a decision on Calciopoli. Now we have to evaluate the best way to defend Juve’s interests and use every legal instrument at our disposal. The rules must be respected by everyone. “We are asking for the chief of Italian sport to call for a political round table. In order to reassure everyone, we have to bring in all the elements that emerged from 2006 to today, but also concentrate all our efforts on developing the sport. “So much bitterness has been created by past events, but this round table would be a chance to bring calm back to the football community.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Fabio Capello’s side would’ve beaten the Treble-winning Inter 3-0.” The patron has no intention of pulling back after new evidence emerged from the Calciopoli trial, in which his club was stripped of two Scudetti. The so-called ‘round-table’ of peace talks came to nothing. “I consider that to be an important day, because it put together people who were swept up in Calciopoli,” Agnelli told Tuttosport. “Everyone stuck by their positions, but the final document recognised the trial was rushed. It is necessary, as I’ve said for a long time, to have a complete picture of what happened. There are elements that need to be re-evaluated by a judge, as there was too much disparity in treatment. “Juve paid far too excessively for what happened. Had we not increased the capital and worked carefully, then we really would be in the lower leagues right now. We can’t just pretend nothing happened and push onwards. “We have a request for hundreds of millions of Euros in damages. It’s not personal against Inter or Massimo Moratti, as we would’ve acted the same way if it had been a different club. We’re not at war.” President Agnelli does like to tease the Nerazzurri and maintains Juve not only deserved those titles, but others too. “I am certain Capello’s Juve would’ve beaten the Treble-winning Inter side 3-0,” he smiled of Jose Mourinho’s team and the 2004-06 Bianconeri. “In any case, right now we have a strong team that is growing. All of us in the club thought Antonio Conte was the right choice. He’s lacking a little in terms of experience, but the same is true of me!” Agnelli did draw a great deal of criticism when he announced Alessandro Del Piero was in his final year at Juventus, mentioning it in passing during a meeting. “I’m sorry that a gesture of affection was interpreted as a lack of respect. There are another 22 games left in the Scudetto race and our objective is certainly not just to reach the Champions League. “We will evaluate the opportunities that the transfer market provides. We hope Milos Krasic can be our best January ‘buy,’ though.” Krasic’s agents have confirmed he’s likely to leave Turin after failing to break into Conte’s side. The relationship between the two clubs was already strained going into last week’s Serie A clash and things hardly improved after it. The decision to not award Sulley Muntari’s goal, despite it being clearly over the line, infuriated the Rossoneri. So much so that Vice-President Adriano Galliani exchanged angry words with Juve boss Antonio Conte during the half-time interval. The fall-out continued after the game which eventually ended 1-1. However, with tension rising, the giornalaccio rosa dello Sport claims that Bianconero President Andrea Agnelli has contacted Galliani by phone in a bid to heal the wounds. Meanwhile, Milan’s Mexes has also publicly apologised for punching Marco Borriello during the game. The Bianconeri dropped points in Week 27 for the sixth game from the last eight played, despite hitting the frame of the goal on three occasions against the Grifone and seeing Simone Pepe’s goal incorrectly ruled out for offside. Immediately after the game, the players and coaching staff refused to speak to the Press - an action that President Agnelli has looked to explain in a news conference on Monday evening. “We took a moment for reflection. Some of the thoughts we had previously expressed in the recent past have attracted much attention, so we felt a day of reflection would to well. This morning was the usual opportunity for us to take stock. “With Milan there is a healthy sporting rivalry and I think it’s great and right. Between the two clubs there has also been great political convergence. “We knew that to return Juventus to success would take a great effort and we now realise that we must be able to fight against everything and everyone, conscious that our strength is sufficient enough to get results. “Did we pay for Antonio Conte’s outburst after Parma? I do not think so, because from this point of view you can say that Juve have paid from the first week. “Are Juve angry? No, this is a Juve of fun, that appeals to the fans who make us proud, this is a Juve that is doing its job, which is to compete to win.” The club confirmed that the news blackout for the players will continue, with only the directors talking to the Press this week, whilst Coach Conte is expected to hold his pre-game Press conference later in the week as usual in the run-up to the Fiorentina game.
