Jan 28, 2012 Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has received a rather unusual job offer when he decides to hang up his gloves - a career in the porn industry. The 34-year-old's wife, Alena, told Italian women's magazine Verrisimo that her husband was "better in bed than Rocco Siffredi", a famous porn star. Siffredi has responded to the comments in an interview with Tuttosport and is keen for the Italy No.1 to showcase his talents in the bedroom. "Buffon may be even better than me in bed, but I want to see him in front of the camera. Buffon is still a kid compared to me. I will make a suggestion: when he stops playing, he should come work for me. I need real men," Siffredi said. The comments come a week after Kevin-Prince Boateng's girlfriend, Melissa Satta, claimed the reason for the player's recent injury woes was because of the couple's active sex life. Buffon is yet to comment on the offer as he focuses on helping Juve's Scudetto bid. Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Feb 3, 2012 Juventus are keen to hold on until goakeeper Gianluigi Buffon until the end of his active career, and are ready to open talks with the Italy international about extending his current deal, Tuttosport reports. Buffon has a contract with the Bianconeri until the summer of 2013, but the club keen to reward him for his loyalty toward the club by offering him a new long-term deal. The glovesman joined Juventus from Parma in the summer of 2001, and has since made over 300 league appearances for the Old Lady. Unlike former team-mates such as Lilian Thuram, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira, Buffon opted to stay put at the Turin outfit after Juventus were relegated to Serie B for their involvement in the Calciopoli scandal in 2006. Talks with Buffon are not the club's absolute top priority, but general director Giuseppe Marotta is expected to open negotiations in the coming weeks. Feb 6, 2012 Juventus shot stopper Gianluigi Buffon has made it clear that opening contract talks with the Bianconeri is not his top priority at the moment as he prefers to focus on his performances on the pitch. A recent report suggested that the Bianconeri are ready to offer the Italy international a new deal that would keep him at Juventus until the end of his playing career, but Buffon revealed that he is in no rush to open negotiations. "We are not talking about a renewal right now," Buffon was quoted as saying by La giornalaccio rosa dello Sport. "The most important thing is concentrating fully on what is happening on the pitch. The rest can sort itself out after without any kind of problems whatsoever." The 34-year-old Buffon's current contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2013. Buffon is in the middle of a storm after the goalkeeper’s comments regarding the Sulley Muntari goal that was not awarded in Saturday’s 1-1 draw between Milan and Juventus. The custodian palmed the ball away, but only after it had crossed the line. He admitted after the game that he wouldn’t have told the referee that the goal should have stood if he had realised it was over. “I haven’t thought about taking the armband away from Buffon,” Prandelli stated on Monday. “Absolutely not.” There have been some calls for Buffon to be stripped of the captaincy or even dropped from the set-up altogether. “I don’t think Gigi needs any kind of defence,” the Coach continued. “I’m more convinced than ever that during games and straight after them, players have so much competitive tension that they can’t favour a referee if they have any kind of doubt. “Two or three days after the incident, everyone can say that the ball was in or not, but we can’t expect a player who is unsure to help the referee during such an important incident.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

The Italy captain has been criticised for lacking responsibility in his choice of words and even as the goalkeeper and his national Coach Cesare Prandelli defended them on Monday morning, former Juve legend and current UEFA President Platini is the latest to suggest he was unwise. “Buffon has gone too far with his words and between Turin and Milan there should not be war. If the referee had asked him and he had said ‘no’, then that would have figured him to be a liar. “If I had scored a goal with my hand and the referee had asked me, I would have said I had scored it with my hand. Socrates 8414 Joined: 04-Apr-2006 133800 messaggi Inviato March 28, 2012 Buffon credits Conte for Juventus revival The Italy captain has been taken aback by the club's remarkable transformation since the arrival of the former Bianconeri midfielder from Siena last summer. Mar 28, 2012 Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon believes that coach Antonio Conte deserves all of the credit for the club's resurgence this season. Little was expected of the Bianconeri after successive seventh-placed finishes in Serie A but they are currently battling it out with AC Milan for the Scudetto and have already secured their place in May's Coppa Italia final. And Buffon believes that Conte's arrival from Siena last summer served as the catalyst for the club's rapid transformation from also-rans to title contenders. "The secret of our success is the ambition our coach has," the Italy captain explained to the Il Corriere dello Sport. "He has shown that ambition since day one and has combined that with hard work. "Conte has brought a new mentality to the club. He has pushed us to sweat, to find strength and to undergo hard work in order to cancel out the last two disappointing campaigns. "He brings that winning mindset to the club every day based on his own hard-working, committed character." However, Buffon admitted that he did not envisage Conte turning things around in such a short period of time. "I certainly didn't expect us to have the campaign we have had so far, although I did hope we could do well," the former Parma man revealed. "Now we have a Coppa Italia final to look forward to and we will not give up in the Scudetto race." Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

The Old Lady are currently second in the table after finishing the last two campaigns in a lowly seventh place. “I thought we had little chance, no chance actually, of reaching these heights,” he told the Corriere dello Sport. “I hoped we would, but I didn’t believe. “The Scudetto race is still not over. Milan have a four-point lead over us, but we certainly won’t give up. We’ll have to give everything until the very end.” Juventus are actually unbeaten this season and will face Napoli in the Coppa Italia Final on May 20. Buffon has highlighted boss Antonio Conte as the inspiration. “The secret was the ambition of our Coach from the very first day, supported by hard work and on field instructions,” he stated. “Our sweat, our strength and our sacrifices pushed us forward, as did the new stadium and the desire to cancel out two bad seasons.” Buffon, now 34, has returned to his highest levels after some struggles last term. He’s also keen on an extension to his contract which currently runs until 2013. “You can take criticism, but only up to a certain point,” he noted. “I know that the first six months following injury were not my best, but I had undergone an operation and I think I could have been allowed two or three mistakes. “I played well in a few of those games, but the situation was different as Juve were struggling. “My future? I’ll stay at Juventus for as long as I still feel useful. I don’t want to steal money from them.” Juventus currently have the best defensive record in the Division and that is also down to the individual brilliance of the Italian international. “My most important save was at Udine against Isla, then against Boateng in the home game against Milan. “At San Siro too, against Mexes and Muntari. Everyone talked about the ghost-goal, but forgot that my two saves were not so bad.” Juventus are next in action on Sunday when they take on Napoli in a dress rehearsal of the Italian Cup finale. “Napoli are the Italian side that I most admire,” Buffon continued. “I think that they, along with us, play the most entertaining football and you can see the hand of the Coach in their play. “But we want to lift that trophy. We need to start winning again to trigger an important mechanism. If we do then we’ll have the Italian Super Cup to play for three months later.” Condividi questo messaggio Link di questo messaggio Condividi su altri siti

Buffon lost possession of the ball late in the game against Lecce which allowed the visitors to grab a 1-1 draw. That result subsequently saw Juve’s lead over Milan at the top of the table cut to just one point. “These things happen,” Zoff told ANSA. “There is no reason to make a drama out of it. I think that Buffon, even if he hasn’t forgotten about it, has put it behind him. “It was just an error, a mistake that can happen in the game. “It would certainly have affected him at the time, but I don’t expect it to cause any problems for him on Sunday. “Everyone in football, in all professions, make mistakes. It is only different for a goalkeeper because it is more evident, but not more serious.” Juve and Buffon will face Cagliari on Sunday before playing host to Atalanta on the last day of the campaign. May 3, 2012 Italy legend Dino Zoff suspects that Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has already put his crucial error in Wednesday's Serie A draw with Lecce behind him. The Bianconeri looked poised to claim a 1-0 victory in Turin, which would have put them one win away from clinching this season's title. However, a desperately poor touch from Buffon allowed Andrea Bertolacci to snatch a draw for the visitors and that result, coupled with AC Milan's 2-0 success over Atalanta, means that Juve's lead over the Rossoneri has been cut to a single point with two games remaining. "These things happen," Zoff told ANSA. "I would not make a drama out of it. I think that Buffon would have already, if not forgotten about it, at least put it behind him. "It was just an oversight, a mistake that anyone who plays the game can understand. Everyone in football, and indeed every profession, makes mistakes. "Certainly, when it happens to a goalkeeper, it's different, more obvious. But it's not more serious, especially when such episodes are rare. "Of course, at the time, it's a real blow, but you must look ahead and I'm sure that this weekend Buffon will not have any further setbacks."
