Hey all, I was an economics student so with the way the club is going at the moment a lot of fans are bandying about the idea of boycotting games, so I took a rough look at how it would hurt the board. (For a category C game) the most expensive is £127 for centre upper category A. If we average this out we get £76. A season ticket for every home league game costs £2000. £2000 divided by 19 equals £105 per game. If we average the figures a regular fan and a season ticket holder pays we get £90.50. 60,000 times 90 equals £5,400,000 per home game in ticket revenue. If we say half (a conservative estimate) will buy a programme, two beers and some chicken that comes to about £16 or £17. 30,000 times £17 equals £510,000. So Arsenal makes about £6,000,000 a home game. Not factoring many buy some overpriced merchandise in the Armoury. Add to that to buy a ticket you have to be a member, so that will be £30-£80 for per year for everyone then. My point being, if the fans stopped buying official merchandise, stopped renewing their membership and stopped buying tickets (not not going to games, there is a difference) it would hurt the Boards pockets badly and show that the direction the club is taking is not acceptable.
