Nick Young left the game early with a knee injury. Jordan Farmar was unable to finish the game with a calf injury. Chris Kaman then fouled out, leaving the Lakers with five available players: Steve Blake, Kendall Marshall, Wesley Johnson, Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre. The Lakers tried to hold onto their double-digit lead, but Cleveland closed its deficit to six points with 1:17 left on the clock. Sacre had already been called for his sixth personal foul with 3 1/2 minutes left in the game. Since the Lakers didn't have anyone else available to replace him, the Cavaliers were rewarded a technical foul and Sacre stayed in the game. If he fouled again, it would go down as a team foul and a technical foul shot would be awarded to the Cavaliers. Sacre didn't foul the rest of the way, though. Blake's 11th point came on a three-pointer with 56.9 seconds left, helping the Lakers end their seven-game losing streak. Insomma i Lal si sono presentati in 8 a causa delle assenze per i vari infortuni di Bryant, Gasol, Nash, Meeks, Hill e Henry. In più durante la partita si è fatto male Young e quindi sono rimasti in 7 totali. A Farmar sono venuti i crampi, quindi son rimasti in 6. Kaman fa il 6o fallo, quindi son rimasti in 5. A 3.30 dalla fine fischiano il 6o fallo a Sacre e siccome i Lal non avevano nessun altro in panca con cui sostituirlo, anziché espellere Sacre hanno fischiato fallo tecnico. Se ne avesse fatto un altro sarebbe stato dato un altro tecnico.
